Only 18 months until the euros. There's nothing majorly wrong with England. Stick with Gareth and this team. 

Not a popular opinion I'm sure, but I'd hope he stays on. There are times when I've felt differently but on the balance of his tenure, I think he ought to continue. 
As for whom he might be replaced by, I'd assume it would be someone like Eddie Howe, but at this juncture, who really knows? It's not a job many of the big guns would jump at, I suspect, given it's typically a thankless task.

A game of fine margins but as well as I thought we played it's still so very classic England in tournament football. We're never on the right side of the result against the big boys are we. 
As for Southgate, not sure where I stand at the moment. I thought this would be his last tournament and if I'm honest I expected us to have a bit of a stinker, following the last Nations League performances we had running up to this. But after it's all said and done I think we had a good tournament and lost to one of the best teams, no disgrace at all. Manoeuvred the group easily and made easy work of the first knock out round. I don't have the same feeling as I did after the Italy game where I thought Southgate could have done more. 
Southgate's not a top class manager but he's a really good fit for this England team I feel. I'm not sure it's as simple as getting rid and unleashing our attacking players on the world to win a tournament. 
On another note, how bad has Mason Mount looked this WC? Looks miles away from being international quality. Can't say I see much of him at Chelsea, so no idea how he plays in the PL, but he's been a real disappointment every time I've watched him this WC. 

Southgate should stay as long as he feels he still has the energy for it of course.
I think this team is special. We may not have the silverware to prove it but I honestly do believe it is coming.
We have come so far as a nation under Southgate. From 2016 to now is honestly night and day. I have seen England evolve over his tenure from tournament to tournament. We are now at a point where we consistently make it to the latter stages of tournaments and tonight proved we can go toe to toe with the best in the world.
Bringing a supposedly 'world class coach to get it over the line' sounds all good but what's to guarantee they can get us into this position in the first place. We have been here before with England managers

I think that’s it for me as well. If Derby lose it’s like going in at half time a goal down, the show isn’t over. My country has been edging closer to the big one, I am thinking this could be it, Rashford matching Bobby Charlton ‘s 66 scoring feels like a sign. It’s going to be a tough one, we might crumble but we have to hope when there’s only one go at it every 4 years

I think we were alright considering all the circumstances today. A drab game but at least we tried to play a bit, take the point and move on. Good minutes into all the injury returners. Centre mids at both left and right back doing ok again, old timer MOTM... it wasn't all bad. 
I've not seen much of Wednesday over recent years but if I could have guessed what a Darren Moore coached side looked like it'd be close to that. There was only Barry Bannan that wanted to play football. 
I know s*** refs are a given at this level but they can at least try and be consistent with their s*** decisions. Some baffling decisions considering what he was letting go.

Game over, 0-0 against one of the supposedly better sides in the division, they’ve got a squad put together over a few transfer windows now and our thrown together group of old timers and youngsters more than matched them. 
Take the point, no more injuries and go into some very winnable games now with 4 of the current bottom 6 coming up. ?

We can say what we want about Southgate but another tournament group stage navigated with ease. Three on the bounce. Obviously there are tougher tests ahead but another tournament with no surprises suits me fine. A fair few 'favourites' have had it much rougher against worse opposition. 
Thought Rashford was poor up until the freekick and then was sublime afterwards. Can't drop the tournament joint top goalscorer now. Hendo added that bite we lacked on Friday so I see no way back in for Mount. Plenty to be pleased about, even the first half snoozefest was completely controlled and we should have been 1-0 up after the Rashford 1 v 1. A good nights work.

It’s a bit of a headache for Southgate.
Saka’s scored 2 already and is in blistering form for Arsenal. Rashford’s got 3. Foden’s got 1, and clearly has to play too. Even Sterling’s got 1. So has Grealish.
Everyone has a heart attack over the starting 11, but we have 5 subs. I’m happy for Southgate to do a McClaren and always have it in the game plan to switch out the two wide strikers. Whatever the starting 11, we’ve got absolute quality on the bench in those areas.
