    Fully agree.
Rooney should never have got the job, should never have kept after last season. Ultimately, he's profited from a void in ownership that's allowed him to churn any result out he wants and them going unscrutinised.
    With Rooney moving forward:
    1) If we stay up, he deserves to stay in the job because he will have produced excellent results to have done so.
    2) If we go down but with the 21 points back on, would have stayed up then I'd give him the first 10 games or so in L1 and see what he can do.
    3) If he takes us down and even with 21 on we would be bottom 3, sack him.
Option 2 seems most likely. My issue is 75 games with 27ish percent win rate is awful. I'm not sure how much is down to the circumstances of the club, and how much is Rooney and his lack of experience and ability.

Not sure if this a WUM but I look at it like this....regardless of his managerial knowledge and decisions what Rooney has done is give stability to a very unstable situation and that is a fact not an opinion.
Imagine what a mess it might've become without Rooney being here because I can only imagine that the youngsters that we've had to rely on heavily this season have gone that extra yard and wanted to impress Rooney because he is Wayne Rooney
yes i think he's made errors he's learning on the job but at least football wise he's given stability and continuity and kept repeating that all he can do is influence what happens on the pitch and the training ground and I for one think he's done very well.
I think we could have been down by now without his leadership and also a big mention to Rosenior and all of the coaching team
I actually think had Rooney made the club even more unstable by walking away we would have struggled to get anyone decent in to run it under our present circumstances and would've meant more of our youngsters possibly wanting out ......WR deserves a proper crack at it here when/if we get back to a normal situation but regardless of this I will never forget what he has done for us in extremely difficult circumstances whether we miraculously stay up or not

Will never be a Rooney fan. Thanks for the effort and all but regardless of the result at the end of the season, new manager needed I think for 2022/23.

Just sent this to Rick Parry. I'm still yet to receive a reply to my previous email, just needed to vent my frustration. This isn't acceptable, you can't run football like this.

So let me get this right, 2 clubs were punished for breaching P&S rules, one of which was due to be asked to resubmit previously signed off accounts.
Now Bristol City, Boro and a number of other clubs look set to breach, they increase the COVID losses an extra £2.5m to help those that were heading for points deductions.
Showing exactly why an independent regulator is needed for the game.
Even if an extra £2.5m allowance wouldn't have prevented us from breaching, how is it fair to go moving the goalposts midway through the season?
Duck off with your no vendettas, I hope whoever buys this club takes the EFL to court and absolutely destroys them, QC would have a field day against this lot.
