Mucker1884 got a reaction from RadioactiveWaste in Wayne Rooney
Extremely poor analogy from the QC there.
Mrs R's belief is in relation to an actual event that has already happened, and her beliefs are based on what happened, and the circumstantial evidence surrounding said event.
The QC is merely referencing fortune telling/time travel/total bill hooks etc!
Is he actually educated? ?

Should we be leaving contact details because all I'm seeing here is the makings of a League One dominating outfit.
1 page in and already we have a solid spine of the squad

I see myself as an older Tom Huddlestone with the passing of Bradley Johnson.
I'm 6ft 4" so I have an advantage in aerial duels which is sadly compromised by my fear of minor injuries.
Ideal for defending opposition free kicks on the edge of the box I come with alarmingly low levels of enthusiasm for putting my body on the line.

Don't care who wins it.
As long as there's a Sheffield team in the Final, that will do me very nicely though, thank you.

Mucker1884 got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Wayne Rooney
I get the impression our Wayne is made of stern enough stuff to not only survive the tough times, but to thrive. To learn, to adapt, and to conquer!
This WILL all make him stronger. I truly believe that. He is of "That ilk".
When the time comes, he'll be sat back in his rocking chair rightfully feeling proud of what he has achieved as a person (despite his imperfections).
He may not leave as a Saint, but he'll be a hero to many... and a very likeable old man!

No need to apologise to them mate. I'm sure they'll get used to you! They're a very tolerant nation!

Don’t wanna see them reach Wembley.
And the longer they are in a losing position, the more gifs of crying gumps we’ll have for eternity.

Mucker1884 got a reaction from Rammy03 in Championship Playoffs
I was thinking the same!
This season's record, however...
Forest D1-1 & L 1-2
Sheff Utd W2-0 & L 0-1
Luton D 2-2 & L 0-1
Huddersfield D1-1 & L 0-2
On paper, it doesn't look great, with just 6pts from 24.
1 x win and 3 draws at home, and 4 defeats away. Admittedly three of them by a solitary goal.
In reality, we know there were some frustrating results there. No more than the odd costly lapse of concentration, or professionalism. (The season as a whole has been riddled with them!) And a smattering of good old lack of experience. (Mustn't... and won't... complain there!)
Undeserved", some might say. "If only" say others.
I'm tempted to say football isn't played on paper, but in reality, history tells us otherwise!
I guess the mark of a true fan is that we always "Fancy us to get a result"... otherwise, we may as well pack it all in!

Mucker1884 reacted to StantonRam in Sombrero Day - v Cardiff at Home - 7th May
LOL
I thought it was a good idea, and the day was great fun, and I never cared before about being in a minority so no change there. Quite a few people asked me why I was wearing it and I explained, and it made me realise that there's a general need to educate younger fans about the history. We sometimes assume that they know stuff when actually they don't. I was also struck by the fact that only one member of DCFC staff that I spoke to (a gentleman around my age) understood the reference without an explanation. Memo to DCFC - make sure all your staff get a brief overview of the history, names etc during Induction Training!
My partner was attending her first ever game. She is from eastern Europe and previously had a view of English people as shy, reserved etc. Not any more. She loved the passion that was on display, the solidarity in the face of adversity, and the sense of community that was evident. She even laughed when I explained the chants, including the swearing!
Sometimes stuff works and sometimes not, that's life. Still a great day, great to see the members of the 72 team in the flesh and on the pitch, great to be reminded of what binds us together. Loved the pre match poem as well, sums it all up really.
Finally, if as a fanbase we keep up this level of support this coming season, then surely Wazza will be able, post takeover, to assemble a very competitive squad and aim for a quick comeback.

Mucker1884 reacted to Van der MoodHoover in MoodHoovers Miekle Moments
Hello all, a little Meikle update. He went in for surgery back on 10th April. Was in hospital a couple of days and then 2 weeks recovery. He's got one and a half functioning kidneys but his uretur has been fixed.
We've been booted out of MoodHoover Mansion for a week whilst Mrs VdM has builders in executing her vision ?
So we've come to Dorset. Today we all puffed up Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast (you can poke your Beachy Head!)
Here's junior with the pooches....

In this day and age and given the ever present attention of journalists from certain national newspapers focussing on sex scandals relating to footballers, it might be wise to point out that it should be spelt ‘missus’. We don’t want David in the High Court.

Bugger Morris. Derby fans have put energy back into the club during our darkest hour.
I actually feel sorry for the town that hosts us for our first pre season friendly.
