Isn’t it a bit like losing your child when they go off to university?
If we do ‘love to bits’ our young stars, surely we should be happy for them that they are able to improve themselves at a higher level of football?
They have all shown loyalty in the past but will probably decide they can’t afford another season in League One for their career’s sake.
Disappointing of course but there’s no advancement for them or the club without change.

Surely the additions have to be young players?

If we pack our team with older players who struggled in the championship, what do we do if we’re promoted?
Don’t we end up paying over the odds again because everyone knows we’re desperate?

The more I think of it, the more Nombe seems the perfect fit. Two players that don’t give defences a moment’s peace.
Add NML and perhaps a new wide player (Harris?) and I think we have a potentially aggressive, dynamic forward line.
 I would still like a midfield player that gets forward to pick up the scraps and score a few.
