Disappointing but on to Saturday now. We need to win and hope Pompey do us a big favour.

This exactly. Absolutely perplexing. 

Positives: We didn't lose. 
Can't think of any others.
If we win the next 3 I think that'll be enough so its not the end of the world but we now need to go and do it, pressure is higher after tonight. We know we play like this far too often and yet we're somehow still in 2nd so nothing changed and we've learned nothing new. We know we're not a convincing auto side. The other teams around us won't do maximum points (well I guess we better hope so after its out of hands now).
So reserving judgement until season end remains the case. Exactly the same as per earlier in season when pressure was on PW, he has to get us up, the easy way or the hard way. Given its Derby, its obviously going to be the latter. I will be bitterly disappointed if we miss out on autos but will then back us 100% for playoffs if that is what it is. Anything to get us out the league. PW can still be our League 1 saviour. But he deserves the exit door if he doesn't, that should be clear enough when you see how low quality this league has been this year.

What am I reading? I know we've all been through some right bottle jobs following Derby, but come on.
Barnsley ruled themselves out yesterday.
Peterborough have a horrifc run of games in 21 days and rely on a high energy game. 
Bolton really struggled to beat a poor Bristol Rovers team and haven't taken any more points than us over the last 5 games - and we've had to navigate Portsmouth, Blackpool, and Bolton themselves in that time.
Wycombe are playing a final this evening....beat them and it leaves 2 home games and Cambridge away. 
Honestly, I can see us winning the next 2, and Bolton drawing against Portsmouth, and it all being all being effectively over. Only 6 days to wait.

We won't win all 4 games, i'm pretty sure of that but I think we could win 3 of those final 4.
If Bolton doesn't beat Portsmouth then we have a great chance.
If they do, it's squeaky bum time and I think we'll bottle it.
Bolton V Portsmouth is OUR biggest game this season.
 

Wycombe, Orient, Cambridge and Carlisle 
If we cannot take all 3 pts off those teams whilst in poll position for the autos then we don't deserve to go up. 
Let's put Wycombe to the sword and put more pressure on Bolton!
 

It's telling that you use the words horrible, unsettling and sick to describe your emotions at this point in time - would you rather us be in Bolton's position than ours at this stage in the season?
You've already started dwelling on an outcome that may not even transpire. 
I remember driving back from Wembley after Fester had done us thinking the world had ended not knowing that we would get promoted later on with a new stadium too.
Try and embrace what's happening at the moment, if we don't go up this season then so be it. As I discovered with the playoff defeat against Fester it's not the end of the world. 
 

I just boil it back down to the fact that we'd much rather be in our position than Bolton's or Peterborough's.
We know for a fact that 4 wins from here and we're up regardless of anything they do.
We also have softer fixtures on paper than either of them, with Bolton having Pompey & Peterborough, and Peterborough having Bolton to play and 7 games 21 days.
We'd have gladly taken this position at most points of the season if offered.
C'mon Derby, final push.
 

There's no point relying on nothing clubs like Bristol Rovers at this stage of the season. Bolton won't beat Pompey so we have to go to Wycombe and smash them; this time next week we could be 6 or 7 points clear with 2 to go. Keep the faith. COYR!

We should be beating Wycombe no matter what. The idea that it’s a tough place to go is a bit of a myth. They’ve got the 13th best home record in the league and have only lost 1 more away than they have at home.
We should’ve beat Northampton too, so nothing is a given obviously, but they’re in the bottom half for a reason and we have no excuse not to get 3 points.
In reality, you probably couldn’t hope for a more favourable last 4 games. 12 points should be well within reach, anything less than 10 is poor from us.

Joking aside, I'm predicting we will finish 2nd.

It is very much in our hands now. Before the Bolton game I'd have said our hardest ones left were them, Blackpool and Pompey and we've come through those with 7pts. Trouble is for every game like those we throw in a Northampton so who knows. I said on one of the other topics given Bolton's fixtures, if they do get promoted it'll mean two things have happened. One would be they've gone on a storming run of form probably including beating Pompey and/or Peterborough but even doing that can only be enough if we drop points from a very favourable run of games. Wycombe is tricky but they've got nothing to play for. Leyton Orient nothing to play for. Cambridge might actually be the one with something riding on it for them but they could/should be safe by then. Carlisle will be relegated by the last day. Sometimes these nothing to play for games go the other way and teams come out swinging with no pressure. Who knows but I'll be bitterly disappointed if we blow it now having done most of the hard work. 

So posters who have given us no chance of going up are now changing to "we'll be sh*t next season in the championship"
I guess if you enjoy being a miserable tw*t, you won't let anything get in the way, not even a modest success.
 

Can I suggest you try something like basketball instead. Might be a bit easier for you to follow, where the tactics aren’t too taxing - just run from one end to the other, shoot, turn round and defend the other team’s attack.

Great point, done by a one off wonder strike that Wildsmith so nearly pushed away. Thought Warne got the tactics right. If we'd gone all out attack pretty sure we'd have lost that. Nelson & Cashin rocks. Collo worked his socks off, as did CBT, who was toast at the end. Adams is class and broke up so much in the middle. Really hoped NML would shine tonight but he had a quiet one by his standards. But a point's a point, away to the league leaders. It's still in our hands.
