Is it too soon to talk about expanding PP for when we get in the Prem

Dethorn reacted to Rammy03 in The whole squad wants to stay.
To be fair I think if the takeover was done weeks ago, even months ago like it should have been, Rooney wouldn't have walked and most of the players would have signed new contracts I'm absolutely certain of it

Sorry, I have to take issue with your point no.2, I can’t remember Newcastle ever playing in a European Cup Semi Final ?

Dethorn reacted to MaltRam in New manager, who do you want?
Anyone suggesting Neil Warnock, give your head a wobble.
It's a clean slate, let's go with the merest hint of ambition for attractive football.
Clough for me. Rosenior, fine.

I didn't realise how much this was affecting me. I was convinced I wasn't that bothered. I've lost my grandmother last week and have other issues and thought there were more important things in life.
I'm not too ashamed or masculine to admit that after reading those Clowes press release snippets on Twitter, I realised my eyes had welled-up a little and I have let out a massive sigh. I now want to have a celebratory drink and put this nightmare behind me.
I am however realistic enough to know that the football side could well be a struggle for a few years, and I have no expectations, but to know that my home-city club, a club I followed home and away for most of my adult life, a club that I committed thousands of pounds to over the years, a club that has made me laugh, smile, groan and sob, will continue to exist means a lot to me personally.
Cheers boys and girls.

Let's hope their keeper isn't good on crosses.
Particularly as they play in Nailsworth....

So what I'm taking from this is that all our conspiracy making has been going entirely the wrong direction.
The diabolical new world order is not a combination of evil governments and shady military industrial complex along with banks and the masons, it's actually golfists.

This is the biggest sign something was going wrong.
He's an active man on twitter, then he's just disappeared. He's a coward in my eyes..... if its gone tits up, money not gone through, whatever, just be a man, explain you've messed up and apologise.
I don't agree with any abuse he or anyone else gets, but if he just said yeah look, my finances have gone to s***, it won't pass AML, whatever, then he'll get a lot more understanding voices. The worst thing you can do after giving it the biggun, is falling off the face of the earth

The evidence is Luton have made profits in the Championship & then gone onto to finish top 6. How can that be wishful thinking & what do you know about their as yet unreleased accounts?!
Wages are inflated in the Championship because owners keep paying them. Owners that have a long term plan, put appropriate people in roles to achieve that plan & stand firm with financial discipline will be able to achieve success & do it within a budget. Too many owners of the larger clubs in the EFL are far too short term in their approach & can't abide any difficult spells as they don't want fans getting on their back. So they discard decent managers, make panic signings & pay the going rate for bang average players & 'Championship' experience.
Your earlier post referenced the difficulties Burton & Rotherham had staying within a budget & remaining competitive in the Championship but that would be entirely expected given their small crowds & revenue. To reiterate, Derby have a natural advantage over the vast majority of EFL clubs - not pretending it would be easy but our Academy successes & the value signings we were able to make this season on low wages point the way forward.

So frustrating isnt it. Press briefings from all and sundry. Everything contradicting. Absolute total and utter shambles. So unprofessional. The bright side seems to be that people do seem to want to buy us but presumably at some point they may all just say "s d it I dont need this grief"

Not an expert in the field either but I am in finance and just been through an acquisition of a company in Admin.
You can do a fair value adjustment on acquisition to value assets and inventory up or down but it is subject to audit and in my experience they are hot on it

If HMRC are prepared to sacrifice 65% of the bill to keep Derby alive, as a taxpayer I’m prepared to sacrifice 100% of it to make sure they die, to discourage others. What an alarming precedent.
Well Luke from Bristol, can I Also suggest that the higher rate of tax that the exchequer has missed out on from PAYE would not have stayed there. Lots of loopholes on a tax return to offset . Maybe Bristol City should die alongside sport to stop this happening. Perhaps you should also destroy your TV and stop channels broadcasting with all those pesky buggers getting determined taxation instead of sending in tax returns. billions overpaid on tax credits a few years ago when it started and written off. Hunt then down and shoot them. All those directors taking loans from their own business then going bust next for the chop. All that s*** you buy online from business not playing the game - stop them trading. Any business suffering and getting the benefit of not paying some tax they owe, close em down and get a 1000 staff on JSA. Finally, stop Lukes upcoming bank holiday, it won't be needed when we get rid of the monarchy and seize Charles duchies that he pays ridiculous level of tax on.
One dimensional bitter nobber ?
