I don’t think you’re correct. If nobody bought the tickets Derby could just return them:

34.2.2    Clubs are required to sell tickets for their away matches if required to do so by the Home Club and similarly Home Clubs are required to supply tickets for their Home Matches to the Away Club for sale by the Away Club to its supporters if so requested by the Away Club.  These tickets are to be made available on a sale or return basis and must be ordered by the Away Club at least five weeks before the League Match to which they relate.  The Home Club must deliver those tickets to the Away Club at the latest four weeks before the League Match to which they relate.  Where any match is arranged at shorter notice the above steps shall be taken as soon as is reasonably practicable.  Visiting Supporters should also have the same opportunity to take advantage of pre-booking discounts that apply to home supporters.

Supporters groups could let the club know in advance that we are going to boycott to save them buying so many in advance

Agree with the Rooney thing - I don't know how public this is but if the likes of Neville & Co raise it, they'd do so in a "neutral" way that a lot of the opposition fans won't (who just think we deserve everything we get).  Boro' and Wycombe have taken massive advantage of the fact we're in administration and are therefore desperate to clear the slate.  These cases have zero merit and the precedence they'd set needs to be made known by the likes of Neville.

@AGR You could post a request on Neville or Rio's Twitter feeds?

Unfortunately Rio and Neville's accounts don't have access for me to send them messages and if I just tweeted them I doubt they'd see it. I'm going to send a message to Chris Coles who has replied to me in the past about some trivial things and see if he'll mention it to Rooney or speak about it to someone at the BBC. I know its a long shot and clutching at straws a bit but I'm seriously concerned about the state of the club.

  3. I think Rooney needs to be asking favours of his mates in the media Neville and Rio etc to get this talked about. It's disgraceful that Wycombe and Boro are hitting us with these charges knowing that we have to do some sort of deal otherwise we won't get taken over and we will be liquidated. We should boycott Boro away in Jan. This should never be forgotten.

Even though he wouldn't suit the tactics? For the tactics Lampard wanted to play, Nugent was the better fit, especially as 3rd choice.

It's not as if Martin had much impact when loaned out.

    Martin - 2 goals, 4 assists, 1401 minutes
    Nugent - 2 goals 2 assists, 1133 minutes

No offence but I couldn't care less about Martin's stats when he was on loan. I don't need stats to tell me that Martin would've been a better option as back up for Nugent that season who scored 2 goals in one of the greatest championship teams of all time. There's nothing that Nugent did that season that Martin couldn't do

Wages, cashflow, P&S could have all been factors. Obviously, with the 4 players you listed leaving on frees, we would have been better for P&S by not selling. Martin wasn't wanted because he can't press, whereas Bennett was often utilised to great affect on the wing.

Fair enough. Would still rather have played Martin than Nugent that season

  6. Interesting to hear that it wasn't his decision to sell Vydra and Weimann. I never understood why we needed to sell Vydra but then we ended up spending more than what we sold him for on Waghorn, Marriott, Malone and Jozefzoon. We'd have been better off keeping Vydra and utilising Martin instead of Bennett.

I'm grateful for his brace vs Wednesday otherwise we'd be staring League 2 in the face but £5m on Waghorn is one of the worst bits of business in the clubs history. We were never ever going to get that back on him. A lot said it at the time as well.

  7. I'm still at 2. I genuinely don't care about relegation I accepted it after the Salford pre season friendly when it was made known that we were going to be stuck in an embargo all summer.

What is really angering me is that we are being bullied. The EFL knew we weren't going to be taken over whilst the 9 point deduction was hanging over our heads so we were bullied into taking the points. Now it sounds like we are giving Boro and Wycombe some compensation as they know we won't be taken over whilst those claims are hanging over our head and we are so close to liquidation we can't put the takeover off. We should not be giving either of them a penny. Do we now sue Villa, Leicester, Bournemouth and QPR who got promoted in seasons they failed FFP? I don't understand how Wycombe think they can sue us when it was due to the EFL's incompetence that the case dragged on so long that we got the points deductions this season instead of last season. They are taking advantage of the fact we need these charges to go away - morally it is despicable.

If we have to sell all the kids and Bielik for peanuts in January - which I fear is likely, I will be seriously depressed.

Totally embarrassing. They are just scum bags who all think they are living out the football factory.
on the train on the way back to Sheffield they were calling out all the locals, making disgusting comments about any females on there and showing each other videos of themselves having sex…!!

I just don’t get It at all. I was hoping there was going to be a couple of hundred Blades fans at the station waiting for them, but sadly there wasn’t…but they did miss their connection to Derby so had to wait over an hour, which made my night a bit better.

Glad to hear they missed their connections. I'm going to have to give Sheff Utd at home a miss as it will be too embarrassing to witness. Hopefully they get a good hiding soon

Best drinking in the centre then getting towards the ground or are there bars near the ground?

There is very little near the ground. You’re best off drinking in Coventry then getting the train to Coventry arena. Train is only 7 mins then it’s a 5 min walk from the station at Coventry Arena

  10. Whilst Allsopp has exceeded expectations since he came into the team he's hardly had a lot to do except for two decent saves against Reading. He nearly cost us with his kicking at Preston and in the first half last night.

If my mum had played in goal last night we'd have won 2-1. He had 1 thing to do and fluffed his lines. Roos should come in on Saturday.

Something has clearly gone on behind the scenes with Marshall and he has made a collection of howlers anyway.

Draw about right, we shaded the first half, they were better in the second. I don't usually moan about refs but every decision seemed to go their way tonight.

He blew up 20 seconds early and there was a big stoppage for Lawrence and the Luton players yellows? Clueless

  12. Love Rooney but no idea why he didn’t bring Stearman on instead of Williams when nearly all their players were 6ft. On Allsop he might’ve played well vs Reading but he’s played 5 or 6 games this season and been at fault for 3 shocking goals (Salford, Sheff U, tonight). Was lucky not to give one away at Preston with his kicking and in the first half tonight. Don’t want to see him in the team on Saturday

If it’s 12 points and no more then i can see why they’ve done it. Why take 9 points and still owe all of the money when you can take 3 more points and payback pence for every pound of debt.

But surely being in an embargo for 2 years will surely make us even more unsellable
