Love this; underpass is part of my route to Pride Park. Hope it doesn’t get vandalised. We need more of this sort of street art.

Good luck for this afternoon, I hope you get it over the line for a number of reasons, and the odds are in your favour.
I hope you don't mind an outsider saying this, and I'm sure you all know this, but regardless of any euphoria or disappointment tomorrow, you'll all still be proud supporters - as b4 was, and is. As someone who read on here for a while before I registered/posted and saw lots of his comments when you were in a bad place;  I stand by the fact that whoever we support, we could all do well by being a bit more like him, when it comes to our clubs.

I was at Belper Cinema tonight and the lady working there mentioned she used to work at Derbion Cinema.
I said you must know Daniel then. She smiled for half a second, remembered he had passed, then shed a tear. Within seconds she was smiling again but still with moist eyes.
She told us how positive, optimistic and lovely he was and how great he was at his job. He was her favourite workmate.
At this point I may have had some grit in my eye.
I think Daniel has made us all tearful as we smile at his memory and I dare say many of us will look to the sky at 2.30 tomorrow, with that same bit of grit in our eye.
I've never been so confident before a match in my life, as the very briefest thought of us not doing this for B4, hasn't once crossed my mind.

with apologies to Grimbeard and B4
Rams of Derby, of Derbyshire, my significant others!
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of the Rams fails ( pretty much every week but that’s the Derby way),
When we forsake our dreams and break ( or moan about the manager all season).
But it is not this day!
The hour of scraves and shattered flanges when the age of heroes comes crashing down.
But it is not this day!
This day we fight! ( #BeMoreB4)
    By all that you hold dear on this good earth;
    Rams of Derby:
Hold your flanges, wave your scraves and win!

Looking on up to our spirt in the sky...
May our flanges flutter gently amongst the sighs from above.
May our ballions float heavenwards, and our day end in tears of joy.

Today, we stand together.  Hand in hand.  There will be no absentees.  There will be no dear departed.
He's with us... and we're with him.

Looked at pictures of our beloved Baseball ground showing another sellout crowd. So many fantastic memories, so many brilliant matches,so many friends made. Today is the day that Pride Park can become the BBG by trying to duplicate THAT atmosphere. I really hope for all Rams fans, past and present, including the much loved B4, we do it in an absolute cauldron of noise. DTID.

I understand your frustration at wanting to see exciting, flowing football through all areas of the team with midfield dominating and passing through the lines. But I would argue we just haven’t had the players to do this the way you want.
The first point I would make is that you are assuming that at every stage of every game, the players are doing exactly what is asked of them by the management team. I don’t believe this. They don’t encourage players not to pass to each other - they don’t encourage them not to attack the opposition. I have lost count of the number of times in his interviews after the game where he has “criticised” his players for not being braver on the ball and in games. The matches at the end of the season are slightly different as all that matters is gaining 3 points (e.g. Cambridge).
the fact is that our midfield (until Adams arrived) was weak - physically, aggressively and pace wise too. We were bullied off the ball too much, waltzed around by younger, quicker players (Peterborough). We just did not have the right players in there to compete. Before Adams arrival we didn’t have anyone in there who could be aggressive, have any pace or could tackle. Fornah was tried for a while but ran out of steam and made mistakes. At least playing 3 at the back, gives you more potential bodies in midfield with the wingbacks available to help out, but even them, unless it was Forsyth or Nayambe, they we’re not tacklers. Added to this was poor movement off the ball and poor passing. Unfortunately, Hourihane is no longer mobile enough to dominate midfield and we have looked better since he has not been in the side.
Our midfield needs a complete overhaul in the summer. Hopefully we can get Adams in permanently but we need others of similar ilk and also a good playmaker. I think Warne was trying very hard to get the right midfielders in, but it just didn’t happen until Adams arrived.
Finally, I would add that with all the injuries we have had this season (Ward, Elder, Forsyth, Rooney, Bird, Waghorn, Washington, Nyambe, JJ,Embleton,Thompson,Gayle,Barkhuizen), Warne has done a remarkable job in patching us up but still managing to pick up points. Admittedly, not in the exiting way we would all want to see, but there have been some good footballing performances too. Plenty of goals have been scored too (9 more than last year despite losing our talisman McGoldrick).
All in all, I think we have done pretty well, but I think you are wrong to lay all the Blame on Paul Warne for our less exciting displays - much is down to the players too. I am sure we will recruit well during the summer.

I really fail to see why any true Rams fan would go to the game next week knowing the sheer torture of losing and Bolton winning and being present for the bleakest day in our history (apart from all the other bleak days that were bleaker).
Let me carry your burden by taking your ticket off you.

My dad, who was a wood machinist in his early working life, made me a seat that slotted into the wall at head height in the old stand before they built the Ley Stand. Bloody Brian Clough bringing success soon buggered that up!

Derby-born, Hampshire-raised Pompey fan here, still feeling a bit groggy after our promotion celebrations last night but hoping the Rams will be joining us in the Championship next season.
We came to Derby quite regularly to see my family when I was young and were fortunate to go to the Baseball Ground many times in the late 1960s and 1970s in the Clough and Mackay years.
I was on the Popside in 1975 against Carlisle when the second title was celebrated, there when Roger Davies got sent off against Juventus in the European Cup semi-final, at the 4-4 drew with Man United on Boxing Day 1970.
But the most vivid memories are of the home wins over Liverpool and, particularly the Easter Saturday 2-0 win over Leeds in that 1971-72 season. Men with Pack’Em In boards urging people to move forward to let more into the ground, a guy who walked around the ground with a bell before the match to gee up the crowd and another with dozens of rosettes inside his coat doing the same. “Programmes, get your programmes”, Hot Love blasting out over the PA system at the end of games, incessant shouts of “Derby, Derby” urging the team on.

Against Leeds Alan Durban came over to our section of the paddock beneath the main stand to take a throw in, grinning all over his face with a two goal lead and not long to go. Everyone around us screamed at him to take the smile off his face and concentrate; the game wasn’t won yet.
Hector, Hinton, O’Hare, the magnificent McFarland and Todd (jumpers for goalposts). My first game was a 4-0 win over QPR in Feb 1968, seen from the seats in the upper Normanton End, my second a 3-2 victory over Middlesbrough on Boxing Day 1968. I stood on a milk crate at the front of the middle tier of the Osmaston End.
One traumatic memory is the sight of Bob Wilson standing there in just his jock strap after ripping his shorts playing for Arsenal at the Baseball Ground. After that Easter Saturday victory over Leeds in 1972 I seem to remember watching Derby lose at home to Newcastle on the Easter Monday and thinking they had thrown it away.
But then came that win over Liverpool and Leeds tripping up. My Dad, who grew up reciting the names of the 1946 Cup winning team, had new heroes. And so did we, until living our lives in another part of the country meant going much more regularly to Fratton Park (or The Dell in my brother’s case, sadly).
But we still look out for Derby. We took my Dad to the Charlton game at Pride Park last season and I’ve been to see Pompey this season and before.
Wishing you every success and the hope that you all will have similar fond memories of Pride Park.

I think it would be great to see Pompey promoted, you have had such a torrid time for years, worse than Derby. Baring an unlikely disaster of losing your last three games, Bolton winning theirs and likewise Derby, then you will be promoted. I would imagine you will be promoted next week, which is what you deserve. You have been the most consistent team of the season. We obviously want Derby to be promoted but Bolton are a great side too and like you and Derby have been through huge difficulties over the last few years. So I hope we all make it .
thanks again for your support and good luck
