Wouldn’t touch Waghorn with a barge pole. Too slow, too heavy, banjo. In fact I wouldn’t go back to any former player that left in the last 3 yrs unless it was Ebiowei or Byrne, and they are well out of reach.
Not sure the lack of rumour is due to Warne being good at covering it up. I think it’s because there is actually very little activity. EFL restrictions make squad improvement very difficult at the best of times, let alone the Jan window. If we bring someone in, they have to improve quality, ideally of the first XI not just the squad. There is no interest in just another warm body.
Warne will be happy with the status quo. Bringing in 1 or 2 players would be quite an achievement if they improve the first XI.

We need more quality going forward, without any compromise on power and pace. With the EFL embargo those types of player are almost impossible to get. I’d like to see Osula get more game time as we are already well aware of Collins limitations.

How did Rooney go today ?

Tidy. Subbed off for tactical reasons not his performance. Shrewd business getting him in I reckon.

Unlucky to be taken off at half-time. We were utterly dreadful in the first half, but he was one of the least worse.

Good. Stearman was looking after him a fair bit though and I don't know if right back suits him. It was a bit unorthodox, Stearman and him were sort of taking turns covering the right side sometimes, swapping roles.
But he did what he needed to most of the time. Key thing for a player like him is that he takes something away from any and all game experience he gets, which is what he does. Learning and developing well

He got caught once or twice by not cutting things out, but was fine otherwise. 

He looks ok. Needs to play more but with the age of Stears, Fozzy and Curtis I reckon he'll get plenty of time as the season progresses. I think he'll be a good player.

Not wrist slashing. I’m not a wrist slasher but the performance needs to be called out. 6 penos conceded in 8 matches. Awful second half. Truly awful. Well done Torquay but fans are right to be angry. That was horrendous and lucky to get a replay. 

Shithousery performance by Derby failing there. 
You can blame the ref but that was utter nonsense again. No direction, no responsibility, no leadership. 
The exact sort of team that we would face under McClaren and get annoyed when they'd fluke something off us. 
It was a penalty. That was deserved. And that could have been avoided if somebody took some responsibility on the ball. Or if there was any kind of direction beyond kick it up and head it on. Torquay managed to play so it wasn't impossible to ask for Derby to at least compete in that second half. 
If Torquay had scored earlier in the half they might have gone on to win it too. Such was the open invitation. 
Only seen this since the Ipswich game but I'm assuming this isn't a common approach to games? 
A bunch of midfield bottlers, forwards with just a general "do stuff" instruction and then defenders encourage to just play the percentages? Is that what Warne is about?
