When, apart from his prolonged stint at left back, has Sibley had a long run in a single position? I agree with everybody who says he hasn't developed as we thought. however, we should also look at why and, IMO, Sibs isn't the problem. For him to push on I believe he needs to move and get a club with a manager who will play him in just the one role over a run of games.

IMO, When Nyambe is back, neither Ward nor Wilson will start. We now have NML, Barks and CTB for the 2 wide berths and 2 of the 3 will get the nod over either of the W's for a starting place.

Agree. I think there has been a new rule brought in during the last few years, whereby a goalkeeper when either catching a shot or collecting a back pass, has to throw himself full length on the pitch. 🤨

2Wilson 7 Still better going forward than as a defender but this was probably his best defensive performance for us

    6Cashin 7
20Elder 4 Does not fill me with confidence when defending. OK going forward but no more than that
17Sibley 6 Comes on at left back. Is he ever going to get a run at #10 to show what he can do there. Only role he has had a run in was LB for about 14 games last season. Did well. He never knows where he's going to be asked to play. LB, LWB, DM, LW, RW... little wonder he's not fulfilling his potential

As an ex keeper myself, I think JW has the better all round game. The reason given for him not playing was given as he'd had a knock. He has been criticised for going down too often. I would agree but I'm old fashioned and still think you go down when injured and for no other reason. Most times when he goes down, it's at a point in the game where the opposition is getting the upper hand. I think he does it to take their momentum away. I also think he shouldn't do it for that reason. I know other teams do it, I just don't like it.

There was a time when Millwall attended games in doctor's scrubs and called themselves "Treatment".

I stand to be corrected, but I believe it was similar at Millwall... Initially, their mob were just known as "Yobs".
It wasn't until that PO semi against us... and with acknowledgement to Graham Richards... that they became "officially" known as "The Brainless Maniacs".

Back in the 70s. There was the Burton lot, Willington, Findern, Osmaston, Normanton, Allenton, Belper, Ripley, Ashbourne and all points north/south/east/west... all the "local" groups merged into one on matchday.

Early 70s, L**ds away. Me, my mate and our GFs. The only 4 Derby fans in the end opposite the Gelderd. 10 minutes or so before the end we heard a shout from behind us away to our left. 30 to 40 "laddos" screaming let's get the barstewards or words to that effect. We start to head to the bottom right and the exit. I was shouting "coming through" or words to that effect. 2 blokes wouldn't move and the adrenaline saw me remove them from our path. Outside, we began the run back to the station with the brave Yorkshire ****s a good 50 yards back. We let the girls get ahead of us so, if we were going to get caught, we could have a couple before the eventual good kicking, giving the girls more time to make the station in safety. They never caught us. Slowed to a walk as the 4 of us approached the station. Loads of L**ds looking for "fun". We sent the girls on ahead and they got through. We had to endure a short skirmish to get past the "laddos". Took less than we gave and avoided any painful blows.
The Roger Davies Cup replay at Spurs. Managed to avoid the running fights getting back to Seven Sisters for the tube to the train. Got on the Ramaway. Some of Spurs finest then jumped the barriers and got on the train. A fight ensued but the Cheeky Cockney Chappies didn't stay on the train long as they weren't winning the scuffle.
ICF at Wembley, 1975. First few Derby out of the stadium were women and kids mainly and they took a hit. Then a contingent of South Derbyshire mineworkers were next out together with a fair few of what would have been DLF lads had the term been coined back then. The fight lasted a few seconds and the 'ammers decided the odds weren't right and did a runner.
Had the odd fight at football but never started one.

We set up a certain way. The way they set up saw them press our box which led to our main tactic being lump it up to Collo who was being marked by two 6'4" centre halves thereby playing into Bradford's hands. There should have been a change of shape inside the first 15 minutes and if that meant a change of personnel, so be it.

    TV
Vickers 5.5  Got away with several mistakes 1st half. Better 2nd
Nelson 6.5 The odd mistake but mainly solid
Wilson  5.5 Invisible opening 20. Nowhere near his usual standards
John-Jules  5 Pretty ineffective. Needs to learn to stay on his feet rather than go down at the slightest touch
Bradley 5.5 Few errors opening minutes and OK after that
Barkhuizen 6 nothing bad but nothing above average either
Collins 6 based on his 2nd half. Invisible 1st half except for his falling wardrobe imitations. Gives too many fouls away as well
Thompson 5 Twice poor first touch in the box saw scoring chances lost and his general play wasn't up to standard
Mendez-Laing 7 best of a bad bunch by a mile
Sibley 5 not at the races
Bird 7 improved the MF, all to no avail
Elder 6 Not good, not bad. I'm still not sure which question he's the answer to. Much better going forward than in defence and he's a defender
Cashin 6 huffed and puffed but, like his teammates, couldn't make a difference
Fornah 5 not the player he was in his first 3 appearances this season
Hourihane 7 improved the MF, all to no avail
Ward 6 Not good, not bad. I'm still not sure which question he's the answer to. Much better going forward than in defence and he's a defender.

The team 5 too many misplaced passes. Too many times the first touch was poor. Too many times we were nowhere near the 2nd ball. Too many times their  man in possession had 2 or more teammates open and unmarked to receive a pass. Too many times their players could romp through midfield unchallenged. Too many poor tackles.
It seems that, at the moment, both Sibley and Thommo are better 30 minute subs than they are starters.

That I didn't see, KO was to busy knocking WHU fans back down the stairs like skittles on a bowling alley, If we hadn't have followed O'Reilly's orders...down town would have been out of bounds for some time, And a night at the Polish club on Charnwood St would have been a no go...as he and Phil Clarke were working the doors there.
As I said...once the scores were even with the fans things went our way, Pretty sure WHU fans didn't expect Derby to have as much support who could give out more than they could take 👍
