I'm sure they do all believe they are in the right. The point is at the moment we don't have any clarity on what the situation is: what exactly do the administrators want the EFL to do, for example? Why? Is there anything short of that that would achieve a satisfactory result? Is there a reasonable middle ground?  And so on for all the parties. A lot of us on this thread are doing little more than guessing, because we just don't have the information, and we haven't been party to discussions, and we don't know the legal situation, etc etc.
That's part of the reason that you are seeing some people on here blaming the EFL, and some blaming Gibson, and some blaming the administrators, and some blaming Mel, and some blaming Mel's-MP's-son's-fellow-panel-member.
Feels to me like if the MPs could get all these people (okay maybe not the panel member) in a room and get some answers, identify the real obstacles, and start suggesting ways forward, we might at least emerge with a clear picture of who needs to do what, and who is preventing us moving forward, and why.
Are the EFL or Gibson or even our administrators going to listen to a bunch of MPs telling them what to do? Maybe not. But if those MPs can clarify who is holding things up, and what they should be told to do, that would be a huge step forward. It gives all of us - fans, MPs, media figures, even government ministers - something specific to aim for. It allows everyone to apply pressure in the right place.
At the moment the only clear rally cry we all share is "Save Derby County!" And that's great, as far as it goes. But who? And how? It's not pressuring any specific person to take any specific action. It's the kind of thing everyone involved can agree with - even Gibson, I imagine. And that's very dangerous. We could all be shouting "Save Derby County!" as the club gets liquidated.

IF DCC really are providing some short-term finance to DCFC, I'd like to thank all supporters of NFFC who are resident in the City for paying their Council Tax and helping to make this possible. It's your City too now. ?

I believe that it is just a Churchill quotes to suggest that though there is a hell of a lot to do, that it is finally starting to move in the right direction.
    Original quote was:
"This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

Exactly. Apologise to all 72 clubs, amend the rules to make them clearer with what amortisation method they wish clubs to use going forward. That's it.
It's ok putting out a 10pm statement saying they have no vendetta, but when they are forcing the club to rewrite its accounts for previous seasons, is it any wonder we feel a little aggrieved by.
What really gets my goat is, Gibson initially kicked off about the stadium sale, meanwhile the Forest owner down the road is moving players/money between his 2 clubs, season after season and no other owner has questioned who sets the valuations?
The fans of that club have the balls to laugh and call us cheats. For what exactly? I bet not one of them can clearly state what it is Derby have done wrong, they will mumble their way through a stadium how much, dodgy accounts line.
They belong down Hooters where all the other tits are on show.
Oh, back to Gibson, the guy who sold the clubs tax losses, how he can even think about even lifting his finger to point at other clubs is beyond me.
Anyway, sorry I quoted you in all this, every so often I just have to write it all down in the hope that someone, just one person looks at this and says, you know what, that's a bit dodgy what they are doing to Derby.

A sense of anticipation that the Administrators have a key meeting today which could open the way for a positive outcome, then remembering that their meeting is with the EFL and the realisation that nothing will be resolved.

I think pressure can be maintained on the EFL despite that. Forget scrapping the deductions, we all know that won't happen, but we can continue to highlight the way the EFL are attempting to 'Melwash' everything now he is apparently out of the picture, to cover for their own errors and cover their own backs. If they can do it to us... etc.

    1. It does not smell of urine, I assume that was a not too subtle dig at the average age of the season ticket holders there
    2. You do not have to apologise for the bad language and obscene chants, as per the south stand
    3. there is no chance of getting hit by a coked up loser
    4. You can get a drink and a pie easily in the concourse
    5. You can get to the toilets easily
    6. You get plenty of cardiac exercise climbing about 70 steps to get to your seat
    7. You can sit feeling smug in the fact that you are contributing more, given the price of your season ticket  to the club
    8. You get the best view in the ground.

Idiots recording and uploading videos of the fans singing about partying when Gibson dies onto social media.

    Why?

Why can’t they just be normal rather than idiots?

Why do they think it’s useful to start alienating other fans when we need as many friends as possible in the footballing world right now?

That video is losing us sympathy left, right and centre at a time when we need to backing of our fellow football fans.  .

We need to flush these weasels out of the club or their loved ones need to ban them from drinking before the football.

And if you’re going to comment to say every club has this sort of fan then don’t bother, tired of making excuses based on the fact other clubs have fans who don’t know right from wrong after a shandy too.

Absolutely. Can see Appleby group upping their bid and think Ashley will leave it now that bids are coming in. Don't think it has gotten desperate enough for him to pick the club up super cheap and (for now at least) it doesn't seem as though it will quite get to being desperate enough.
Could easily be miles off though! ?

New poster, please forgive me for diving straight in, but in my opinion I reckon the sons Adam and Colin will be running the club more closely, but their dad will be bankrolling it. At least that is the feeling I get, as I'm not sure the sons have the money.
