I found that a very depressing read. So Wycombe and Boro are stakeholders because they have put in a spurious claim? Administrators need to take this to high court immediately. We also need to be seeking damages in my opinion. Parasites.

In particular - this bit stuck out:
Get everyone in one room, and get on with it. A month too late.
    Also, this:
So, does this mean that EFL policy, outdated though it may be, trumps insolvency legislation? Feels a pretty dangerous line for the EFL to tread, in my (albeit unqualified) opinion...

Can we just sue the efl for not letting us move forward, boro and ww should not get a penny or as been said before we should be able to sue the efl, for not keeping villa, Bournemouth,  qpr within the ffp rules and sue the clubs as well.  I'm sorry but the efl has to be disbanded right now and have the police look into there (allegedly) fraudulent ways ??

Extra thought to add on to this would be, if we’re looking for an owner that could run the club financially stable, no losses, the door would be open to a lot more potential owners.
However given the state the game is in, it’s hard to be sustainable in the Championship and be competitive, so I go back to where is the incentive to owning a football club of this size?
An owner(s) walks in and says, from now on we spend what we earn, if that means relegation so be it, there would be uproar and even if you wouldn’t personally be @Tyler Durden
If you disagree with that, go look when the Sheikh was first rumoured, go look at the posts where fans are complaining they don’t have the money, pfft millionaires not billionaires, why would you need a billionaire to run a sustainable football club?
I don’t believe a sustainable football club is what fans really want, I think they want a multi billionaire that will cover any losses for eternity, absolutely no threat of getting bored or running out of cash.

That’s fine, no arguments against that opinion as I have no proof to either support or argue against that.
I think however it would be naive not to consider the impact of covid as well, even recently during the Omicron wave stadiums were either closed or limited to capacity in Wales and Scotland, there was talk of games behind closed doors again.
Outside the Premier League ticket sales account for a large percentage of a clubs revenue, without that clubs are earning next to nothing.
Even today with the squad we have needs an owner to inject £1m a month to keep the lights on.
Hypothetical situation if Mel walked away, settled the HMRC bill, creditors, took on the Boro and Wycombe claims, gave the stadium with the club all for a pound, clean slate.
The new owner(s) have to pump in £12m a year just to survive with this depleted squad and that increases drastically if games are played behind closed doors which not one of us can predict. Getting double jabbed was meant to be the end of it, will another wave hit in the winter?

So for all this EFL talk of the Middlesbrough and Wycombe claims not being the problem... turns out the Middlesbrough and Wycombe claims are the problem.

    Agreed.
Not entirely sure how Gibson/Couhig can claim to know what the hold up is at our end, they will not be party to the discussions Quantuma have had with HMRC and Mel.
Now we have a bidder squarely placing the blame onto the claims from Boro and Wycombe, it’s difficult to see how the EFL can also continue to hide behind other issues the club must deal with.
It’s been blatantly obvious for weeks now, regardless of what those 3 are trying to push out there in the media.

Anyone who thinks that the Parasite claims are not the MAIN obstacle are naive in the extreme. Of course there are other complexities but nothin compares to this as the potential jeopardy is so large. The EFL and the parasites are completely disingenuous about the issue and they know it.

We need to up the pressure on Gibson again, I know the admins aren't perfect but they are simply doing their jobs (satisfying the creditors, as opposed to the club). It's abundantly clear the claims are the issue, and as fans we need to force another reaction from the EFL like we did earlier last month.

Feeling rather overwhelmed today as I am sure we all are..
Yesterday wasn't about the last minute equaliser, as much as it should have been, it was about the City coming together.
A huge thank you to Ryan (chief organiser) and all the Marshalls that assisted on the day. A big thank you as well to Albatross Taxis who offered everyone 20% off for the march and also supplied me with a minibus for the day to get the flags from Pride Park to the march. Nice to see local businesses come together (they are owed money by the club as well) So many came together to make it a success.
We will never know the true number but when we arrived into town at 0945 I got a huge sense that this was going to be massive, just so many dotted about. As many have said Derby police saying just under 10k, that is nothing short of amazing. The view as I looked back over the railway bridge was something else and the drone that took the video, it was neverending.
Many highlights for me, the mayor lowering his hat to start the bounce and leading the march up the Morledge. Pauline Latham starting the bounce and all the local councillors and MP's marching, together.
When the march arrived at Pride Park the number of photographers was something else, not fans, proper photographers, it was flash flash flash..
I will never forget this for the rest of my life.
Be proud of our city and football club.

All the official statements say how complex the issues are and that everyone is working really hard to resolve them.
    Enough of that.
Whoever is to blame for the impasse, whether it's individuals or a combination, I hope that from the meeting with the MPs and/or the latter ones with the supporters groups, someone comes out and states publicly what the blocking issues are and why they're not yet resolved.
Someone or something has to give or - as Margaret Beckett put it so eloquently the other day - those involved will not be forgiven or forgotten.
The supporters have done all they can to get the story out, I think there is now general support across the country. Ignore the vocal few; the majority are concerned about the future of the game. Now is the time to thrash a deal out. Not hide behind the same blah, blah, blah.
Name and shame the folks preventing our club from being saved.

Maguire didn’t understand what we were doing. He said we were depreciating player values to non zero figures at the end of the contracts. We weren’t .

Even if you accept that Maguire intervention is relevant He flagged the issue up in 2018 yet the Efl didn’t bring a charge until January 2020. So Efl are on the hook whichever way you look at it.
the amortisation change was flagged in the 2016 accounts so why want it challenged then?

There’s even more evidence than that GOC but basically EFL being disingenuous in saying they didn’t approve the accounts. Sure there may not be a formal sign off like there is with the auditor.

But they had plenty of opportunities to say they didn’t like what we were doing but they didn’t.

What changed things was Parry coming in , a change of FD too and Parry getting bullied by Gibson .

I agree. For all grief they’ve been getting, I think Quantuma have been pretty good. I think it took them a while to realise/admit that they weren’t on a level playing field, and that the griping Morris had about the EFL’s treatment of Derby had some merit. But since last Friday they’ve played a blinder. Said just enough about the EFL’s stance being possibly “against statute” to set the cat among the pigeons and it has escalated beautifully. Watching all other parties talk too much mainly because their bruised egos didn’t like being seen as the bad guys was great.

As Napoleon said: “Never interrupt your enemy when they’re making a mistake.”
Hopefully some common sense will prevail in the next few days and weeks.

This has been obvious. Parry on Sky Sports (sponsored by the EFL). Times article on Friday fed by EFL saying Gibson is scapegoat!!. Social media doing the trick though and Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph starting to pick up on it too. Silence from the Guardian, and others not good enough.

    Spot on.
At least we seem to have a bidder who has made an offer knowing about the Boro / Wycombe claims and is prepared to take them on and hopefully contest them?  This is great news.
Otherwise despite what Steve, Mr Gibson, Stephen says I am sure he would prefer Derby to be liquidated if only to make Morris have to pay MSD from sale of PP or under his guarantee. ie Personal Vendetta - he wins.
