I live close to Brunei, about 30 mins from the border - dullest place on earth. At weekends a load of them all flood over here for a drink and to take advantage of the "entertainment" - fun fact Brunei Airlines is a dry airline, I found this out when I stepped onto a 17 hour flight back to the UK

Derby County manager Nigel Clough is interested in signing Nottingham Forest defender Kieron Freeman.

Freeman had loan spells with Mansfield Town and Notts County last season but the 20-year-old is yet to make a league appearance for Forest.

Clough told BBC East Midlands Today: "He's a young player and we like that sort of profile. But he's only really had experience at League One.

"We have to fill positions in the squad and he's maybe another for the future."

Sky Sports understands that Derby are close to completing a deal for Kieron Freeman, with the youngster set to join from arch-rivals Nottingham Forest.

Sky Sports revealed on Monday that the Rams had leapt to the front of the queue for the promising defender.

Freeman has expressed a desire to move on this summer after finding his route to first-team football blocked at the City Ground.

Forest will not stand in his way and are prepared to part with the Wales U21 international.

Notts Countyhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer had been hoping to reach an agreement after seeing Freeman impress during a loan spell at Meadow Lane last season.

Derby are, however, set to secure his signature, with Nigel Cloughhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer making no secret of his desire to bring in defensive reinforcements.

It is understood that Freeman will undergo a medical on Friday before crossing the East Midlands divide and completing a switch to Pride Park.

''Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our Tyson, but they'll never take... OUR FREEMAN!'' - Forest fan on 9th August 2012

Has there not been an announcement about an announcement at 6:00am tomorrow, that's what usually happens in this situation.

No I think it will be similar to O'Connor, an article in the DET saying he's set to have a medical and he'll be signed for in time for tea! I'm hoping it will be a double unveiling with a striker too, maybe Sammon.

Anyone know the deadline for signing players for them to be eligible for the game on Saturday?
