Seems to be plastered every where and I cannot find a reason for it, therefore must be true.

Don't know much at all, I know he has put in a very good performance against us in the past nearly 3 years ago now so can't be all bad surely - I won't judge any player until they've put the black and white on, and won't base it from where they come from either.

Not exactly the young buck anticipated - but an established championship defender, versatile and bald (the new alan wright, wright, wright) maybe? JAMES O'Connor is set to sign for Derby County, subject to a medical.

The versatile Doncaster Rovers defender is due to be at Moor Farm today.

The 27-year-old can play across the back four, including left-back, where the Rams have been looking for cover for Gareth Roberts.

Born in Birmingham, O'Connor started his career at Aston Villa and had spells on loan at Port Vale and Bournemouth before he joined the Cherries in a permanent deal in January 2005.

Doncaster paid £130,000 for him in May 2006 and he established himself as a key first-team player.

He helped Sean O'Driscoll's side win promotion to the Championship through the play-offs in 2008.

He was Rovers' player of the year in 2009–10 but lost his place under Dean Saunders during the 2011–12 relegation campaign.

Bristol City have joined Ipswich Town in the chase for Derby striker Steven Davies.

The 24-year-old was not involved again last night as the Rams beat League Two opponentsNorthampton Town 4-2 in a pre-season game at Sixfields.

Davies has now sat out all three friendlies while his future at Pride Park remains uncertain.

I suppose he'll cover right back and left back which will see Naylor move to CB, and then if needed RB if both Roberts and Brayford are injured. Never seen him play, but at least we've got cover that we've always wanted.

Anyone know the fee?
