Divergent 7/10

A bit like Hunger Games (the feel not the storyline) only better. There seems to be another 3 in the pipeline.Worth a watch.

The Host, I can't mark it as I had to turn it off after 20 minutes.Awful, and I couldn't watch any more.

About time.

I'm a sucker for Richard Curtis films but I was a bit disappointed by this one. Funny in places, moving in places but all a bit sickly sweet & every time he did a voice-over, it sounded like Hugh Grant doing it in Love Actually.

What I couldn't get my head round, though, is that if you had the power to go back in time, you'd have to win yourself a bit of cash along the way wouldn't you!?. There's even a bit when he says he had a mortgage he couldn't afford. Well, give yourself 5 + bonus ball next Saturday night then & problem solved!. There was no reason why he couldn't do it, so you just would, wouldn't you?.

Maybe it's just me.

6/10 Groundhog day with sugar. Lots of sugar.

Divergent - 4/10.

Bought under the recommendation of a friend that it had a really powerful meaning behind it (society tries to split us all up to control us easier).

Nothing like that. It's essentially a love story aimed at teenage girls who also liked Twilight and The Hunger Games. I sat there just thinking, "I am not this film's target audience".

It also doesn't help that the lead guy in it is the guy who snorted cocaine through Jay's arse money in The Inbetweeners Movie. I found it really hard to not imagine him with that little bit of poo hanging from his nose.
