Players are/were coached on how to fall...this came from Dean Sturridge all those years ago when he won a penalty against Southampton, Those that don't get touched then anticipate and hence this becomes an exaggerated fall. But he should have been booked a minute later for the foul on Gordon. Liverpool look so dangerous when they get the press right. But it seems teams have worked out how to beat it. And then they just have oceans of room to run into. It makes Liverpool’s defence look so vulnerable when you run at it. Something teams never did a few years ago. Bris Vegas Posted August 27, 2023 Share Posted August 27, 2023 The subs changed the game. Liverpool brought on Nuñez and Jota who are two players better than the ones they replaced. Newcastle on the other hand got worse the moment Tonali and Gordon left the field. Gordon was giving TAA a nightmare while Barnes has been awful. I get the retake, but a booking?? Unless you get a booking there's no jeopardy, but there is a chance that you'll get away with it. He was lucky that he hadn't been booked during the game, otherwise he would have been off.
