seen it on match of the day and thought it was a clear foul. The Forest lad caught him and he went down as most players would.

In cricket if your caught behind from the slightest touch of the ball...it's called a feather edge, Back in our day 70s/80s we'd stand up to an attack with a pick axe handle.

Players are/were coached on how to fall...this came from Dean Sturridge all those years ago when he won a penalty against Southampton, Those that don't get touched then anticipate and hence this becomes an exaggerated fall.

Times have changed Reg...Cheat at all cost as the £ $ € and now the Saudi Riyal is king.

Jeez, that wouldn't knock down my 8 year old daughter.

But yeah, the theme seems to be people have a right to cheat. They're entitled to it. "There was contact" etc etc.

Trent is lucky to be on the pitch by the new rules. The first yellow was harsh as it looked like he was fouled anyway. But he should have been booked a minute later for the foul on Gordon.

Liverpool look so dangerous when they get the press right.

But it seems teams have worked out how to beat it. And then they just have oceans of room to run into.

It makes Liverpool’s defence look so vulnerable when you run at it. Something teams never did a few years ago.

He also pulled Gordon’s shirt as he went through for the goal  - applying the rules he could quite easily have got another yellow for that….

The subs changed the game. Liverpool brought on Nuñez and Jota who are two players better than the ones they replaced. Newcastle on the other hand got worse the moment Tonali and Gordon left the field.

Gordon was giving TAA a nightmare while Barnes has been awful.

Liverpool have made a very good start this season considering the fixtures and the circumstances today.

Darlow getting booked for leaving the line before the penalty was taken is a bit weird isn't it?

I get the retake, but a booking??

Unless you get a booking there's no jeopardy, but there is a chance that you'll get away with it. He was lucky that he hadn't been booked during the game, otherwise he would have been off. As it happens, it was a poor penalty and he would have saved it easily if stayed on his line, so the actual punishment for him coming off the line, was to get knocked out,

What a shame.😂
