Sam Winnall is out of contract and on a free, I was told.

Thoughts anyone?

No thanks, can’t even get in Wednesdays team. Doesn’t seem to have come back from his injury the same player, probably have to drop to league one now.

Hopefully we don’t need a striker anyway, so long as Martin signs a proper new deal!

I'd definitely take him if the money was right. Its clear we cant rely on Marriott which only leaves us with Waggy and potentially Martin, 2 different types of strikers.

Winnall gets scruffy goals, can play the lone role up top, seemed to thrive in difficult away games and has got that nasty streak needed against standard physical CBs in this division. With our style he'd get a few more chances than he got in Rowett's team.

Winnall still sounds like a brand of dog food

agree, I don't think we should sign him, don't think we would winalot with him upfront.

Decent enough player, but I'd be reluctant to take on somebody with his injury record. A striker who relies on running as an integral part of his game will sadly never be the same again after a serious ACL injury.

... Now watch him sign for someone like Rotherham and bang 20 in next season ?
