The laugh at the end...

revenge of the sith episode 3 GIF by Star Wars

yeah ?

Was that a crash piece of the original Death Star at the end?

JJ Abrams has always said that ep9 would be the conclusion to the Skywalker saga and tie in all previous 8 movies.  Some massive Luke/Sidious force ghost face off would be epic.

That's what I thought, couldn't decide if it was the death star or starkiller on first viewing.

Ooh that would be a good finally seeing them battle.

Great to see Lando again in the falcon again.

Really looking forward to this one.

Episode VII was somewhat entertaining but a massive rip-off of Episode IV. I don't know how Abrams escaped without criticism.

Episode VIII was meh and a bit ridiculous. They billed Finn to be a huge character before Episode VII but he barely featured in this one.

Can't say I'm expecting much from Episode IX.

I thought ep7 was excellent, recaptured the feeling of the original trilogy and set up episodes 8 & 9 nicely.

Ep 8 was disappointing.  Killed off Snoke cheaply, didn't add any depth to Kylo Ren, Ray became a powerful jedi with minimal training, other characters and their story arcs were awful,  Then there was the Leia scene.

I have high hopes for ep9 as JJ Abrams is back directing and he's been saying the right things. I guess time will tell...

I really enjoyed Episode 8. Thought it was different and exciting to watch minus the Finn and his new girl mate storyline. The fans wanted different yet Episode 8 is panned by many for not being Star Wars. Can't decide what they want. Anything will be better than the Han Solo film they released. What a pile of poop that was.

Episode 8 was absolute garbage - it manages to make episode 2 look like an absolute masterpiece.

Half that film was completely meaningless - you could have cut the entire section with Finn and Rose on the Casino world and it wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference to the story. All the mysteries set up in the first film by Jar Jar Abrams meaningless. Space fights pointless - just strap an engine to a big rock and accelerate it at the enemy ship now. Mary Poppins flying back through the window. Gravity bombers at the start in space. Finn almost managed to do something heroic at the end, but nope Rose has to come in and doom everyone because she wanted to have a super awkward kiss. And why the **** do you have scanners for stealth ships that aren't switched on all the time - they could also have just had someone look out a window to see all those fleeing transport ships.

Episode 7  was ok though, so hopefully Jar Jar can turn things around. That laugh at the end makes me want to see Episode 9 though even if nothing else in the trailer did. I'm definitely willing to give Abrams another chance after ep 7.

Trailer gets the excitement building nicely. I trust JJ Abrams to make a good final movie, his experience with big budget sci-fi suggests he knows what he’s doing.

The more I think about the Last Jedi, the more I dislike it. It didn’t get the tone right at all. The bizarre decision to allow each different director set their own direction for a film with no basic guideline or underpinning story ruined it.

I don’t care if they make a film similar to the originals, or if Rey is a Skywalker like so many seem to. I just want an exciting movie with a send off that’s worth rewatching years in the future

Couldn’t have put it better myself. I like your take on movies (Endgame views now this!)

Have seen them all with the kids and they much preferred Solo to the others... I enjoyed it too. Was good fun I felt.

Sith Happens

Interesting title, and interesting to see how they bring palpatine back.

My concern is that its going to seem chaotic, re-introducing Lando, Palpatine, maybe Anakin? Other new characters, you sort of feel some of this should have been happening in TLJ to build up to the last film.

I dont mind TLJ as almost a stand alone movie, but nothing of interest happens, Snoke is killed, after a build up its like oh hes dead is that it?

Luke orms about for a bit, then shows up via netflix and then dies...is that it?

Nothing at the end of TLJ left me with a 'cant wait for EP 9' feeling. At least at the end of TFA it left you waiting because of the introduction of Luke..then that was royally messed up by TLJ. Rey is some super jedi, but its only 4 days or so since the start of TFA. Stupid....

I remember as a kid after empire, i couldnt wait for Jedi, what a massive cliffhanger with Han in carbonite, is Vader Lukes dad? There is non of this

I know there was originally talk of splitting EP 9 into two movies, which I am not normally keen on as it seems a way just to make more money and stretch out a story, but i really think it could have fixed some wrongs here...build it all up in part 1, have a huge cliffhanger and leave everyone gagging to see Part 2.

I am looking forward to it, but just feel there is going to be too much to fit in because of the failings of TLJ. And we arent really going to care what happens to the characters because the damage has been done killing off han and luke, at the end of return of the jedi we did care, and we even wanted Vader to survive as he turned to the light.

I thought teasers were supposed to hype you up, make you want to watch the film?

Pffft, get out the wrong side of bed this morning? Endgame thread, Star Wars thread, you'll be telling me you're not looking forwards to the final season of Game of Thrones next...

Any fan of Star Wars would have gone 'YES!' at the maniacal laugh at the end of the trailer.  Hopefully we'll get another trailer on May 4th.

Hmm so;

Star Wars ep4: Acquiring Power Converters

Star Wars ep5; Installing Power Converters

Star Wars ep6; Maintaining Power Converters

And to think people had a go at George Lucas about episodes 1-3 ?
