I like Butter too and think he would fit Lampards style of football very well.. But he is not known for his pace ?

BobbyD
He is lightweight, has little gumption and is in the wrong profession its a joke i know but he never smiles. Therein lies a tale. When he shows some desire and fight , perhaps things might change As it is, you could not play him in a championship team . He is a liability. Its up to him to address those things , noone else

BathRam72
Looked sharp tonight. Picked out some good passes. Defended very well and scored a peach. Well played. Certainly making a statement for a first team call up

RamNut
Sooner or later we are going to have to identify who steps in for bryson. Who else is there?

I think he's the only one who could, at least until Evans is back fit. Ledley and Hudds don't have the energy to go up and down the pitch, Thorne certainly doesn't so it comes down to either Butterfield (who I think would thrive under Lampard) or a youngster, maybe Bird? That is unless Johnson moves up and Huddlestone takes his spot, but then that didn't work at Rotherham. On the subject, I'd like to see Holmes given more of an opportunity as he's got a lot of potential, but I think he'd be more of a rival for Mount's place than any Bryson's. The way I see it, Evans is the understudy for Bryson and Holmes is the understudy for Mount. Both bought with an eye on next season and phasing them in gradually. He mostly played that role at Reading, but Lampard never talked about him that way. He described his strength as knitting play together... More like Brysons role the current set up. Didn’t look it against PSG and missed a couple of one on ones with the goalkeeper. Not sure what to make of him didn’t look any better than Luke Thomas or Elsnik etc
