Just an old paper

Came across this old paper yesterday, think it had the chips wrapped in it !

its a report of the first competetive game played by Derby County in 1884 some four years before the football league began !

hopefully it’s clear enough to read !

Was expecting to see a footnote that Samuel Rush esq had been chided by the owner Sir Melamine Morrison for making off with a tanner that was entered into the ledgers as being for "matters pertaining to the appropriation of certain gentleman players".
