Carl Sagan
Luke Thomas scores to give the Rams an early lead away to high-flying Everton. Edit: Hanson not involved because of a minor groin strain.
Ghost of Clough
Jose Baxter playing for Everton... when did he go back there?
angieram
Exciting game this - 3-1 to us now! I have to say there has been some really incisive passing on the break by Derby.

But bringing on England U17 international Morgan Whitaker has made a real difference for us. As Angie says our passing has been very slick. Whitaker did a lovely setup for Max Bird to retake the lead with a low shot from the edge of the box and then he dictated a fast break down the middle with runners either side. He picked exactly the right ball to put Alex Babos through on goal but Babos played it across to the other runner, Lewis Walker, to tuck it in at the far post. Five minutes to go. It would be an immense and highly impressive result if we win this. Edit: Full time. 1-3 to the Rams and a very fine win.
ramblur
Well done, young Rams. Gutted because a pathetic download speed stopped me watching it (yet again)
ossieram
Good win and 3 well taken goals. Everton looked good and I thought they'd go on and win after scoring, but Derby defended well and the whole team worked hard and took the chances well. Yes that Whitaker looked a bit useful Great game to watch no diving or play acting Thought Cover a Wassall were very strong at the back They definitely don't play 4-2-3-
Millenniumram
Rarely watch these games but had some time on my hands so gave it a watch today. Have to say there were some promising looking players out there for us today, obviously performances matter the most but it’s good for their mentality to see our results like that against quality opposition. Thomas imo looks ready for the first team , has a bit of Ince about him and a natural goalscorer, exactly what we need. Bird will be some player as well, probably too young physically yet, but has great control of the game, reminds me of Thorne a little. Whittaker surpringly stole the show though, some proper creativity there- need someone of that ilk in the first team.
We'll be back in 81
Great performance tonight, very composed all over the pitch with some quality players coming through the system. The future looks bright with our manager and the academy coaching setup. Thoroughly enjoyed watching them this season with the help of rams tv. EnigmaRam
Very entertaining game tonight. For saying most of the first team under 23's are out on loan we have some very talented young players. I hope a couple get a chance to be in the first team 18 before seasons end. A bit of spark from the likes of Thomas may help
DesertRam
Fantastic result, shows the depth in talent that we have now!! can someone tell me how to view the u23 and u18s tables as don't seem to be able to fine them on the DCFC site?? angieram
They are on the Premier League website - PL2 tab. I always have trouble trying to copy them onto here. https://www.premierleague.com/tables?team=U21
OohMartWright
Having watched the game I thought we were lucky to get the break for the first goal but Luke Thomas took it very well. We defended very well for the rest of the first half but then Everton made their changes, equalised and it looked like they were going to overrun us. The lads then changed from trying to match their physicality to playing a faster, more fluid passing game and literally cut them open with two excellent goals. Some exciting performances and a great result.
sage
Forgot all about it. Great result from what is almost our u23 second team.
ram59
What makes things look even better, is the fact that many of the first choice U23s are out on loan. Edit, sorry didn't notice the previous post.

EnigmaRam
Game in hand over Sunderland and Tottenham also which is good.
Ghost of Clough
Next league game is against Spurs iirc. Win that then we only need 1 win from Man City, Chelsea, West Ham and Leicester to more or less guarantee staying up.
