In just 7 days he has gone from a last minute panic buy who can't pass a ball to the Messiah who was going to lead us to promotion, if he keeps on improving at this rate we could be looking at a world record transfer fee. If you're going to wait until deadline day, you need to have 100% confidence that it can be done last minute. You allow for human error, you always have to deal with human error.
