MackworthRamIsGod
Mel has lots of money, Mel loves Derby, Mel wants the best for Derby, Mel has no clue what he is doing....sad times, frustrating times, I love Mel, but I'm starting to really dislike him. I can't take it any longer

Has anybody been happy with our previous owners? Lionel was hounded out. The 3 amigos were robbing barstewards The LOG sold us as soon as they realised they weren't prepared to stump up enough cash to stop us becoming the laughing stock of the prem. The yanks got loads of abuse when people realised they preferred stability to chucking cash around and gambling on reaching the prem. This is not defending MM, just trying to see who people want and what it is they would be happy with. It's not a new owner we need but he needs to let someone else run the club. Forget our next manager, I'd give a ******* to get Nicola Cortese in as chairman.
NottsRam77
Here we go Ffs people get a grip and have a word with yourselves he leaves, then what season after season of tightening our belts, making budget signings we get another american consortium that run this club like a well oiled proft making business that makes the investors happy but bores the pants off us fans as all hope and excitement disappears out the window or lets just get a falwaz or venky in shall we yes we need stability, yes mel needs to get it right, yes he made some big misrakes but he walks we're screwed and u can kiss goodbye to exciting transfer windows, granted it leads us to nothing but people dont half have short memories, wasnt that long ago people were getting semis on cos we might be spending a million pounds on connor sammon
BathRam72
Shocking decision all round. Mel is bowing down to the disgruntled fan base . Wouldn't be surprised if Rowett is in by the end of the week.
hintonsboots
He knows what he is doing, we've got one of the wealthiest owners in the country and a lifelong Derby fan. Judge him on his next appointment a proper manager who will take us to the Prem and keep us there. Some people will moan about anything. What next Roy Mac 5 doing a sit in protest at Pride Park and not letting Macs car out of the car park.?
Posh Ram
The thing about Rowett is why would he come? Norwich have shown a serious commitment to Alex Neil, but that job will be available soon. We're a complete laughing stock. Would anybody here like to work for Mel Morris? Millenniumram
No we can't, and no we shouldn't. The blokes got this much money for a reason, because he's ruthless with his business decsisions

He's already sacked McClaren twice, Clement, effectively Wassall and Pearson. What makes you think he'll find a manager he'll stick by when we go through a slightly bad patch of form? BathRam72
Like I said on another thread. Get Wassall in until the end of the season. Get a new manager in for 12 games and if we are not top 2 then sack him and bring in another manager. Give him about the same time and if he isn't working let's put Wassall back until the end of the season. And so it goes on. We are one big joke

Oh wait no. What about the one before that? Still no. Before that, our Alex Ferguson? No. We can judge him on his three failed appointments. JaguarRam
I always defend Mel but this is a stupid decision. Another manager and another set of ideas and players. We needed stability.

Let's get SISU in.... then you'd have grounds to moan. Poppycock. The man has laid claim to 4 managers in 83 league games. Posh Ram
Just now, ossieram said: Why? Because their owner doesn't have no idea what he's doing and because they kept Neill when they got relegated and for most of this season, so they'll give him a chance if results don't go his way straight away.
