Agree a bit, Leeds are still late in tackles, and Bent's goals should have possibly stood as it was straight at his face. Ref gave us nothing..

When a defender jumps up at a shot like Bent did it's usually a penalty against them. By that logic the free kick was rightly given against Bent IMO. Gutted about it but I'm sure it was the correct decision.

It's half arsed. All his movement is lethargic.

That'll be his confidence/belief he wants the ball, knows what to do with it and understands his role. That he feels he is and can contribute positively.

You're suggesting he's given up on his career. Why would he do that?

Very poor performance, with very few positives to take from it.

Maybe we aren't as good as we think we are, but that's o.k, this is how we hopefully learn and make better decisions for next season.

Mac has inherited a sub par version of his 2014 side. He needs to get to the summer to cull some players and bring in replacements. We need to take this season as a learning curve, we may be able to sneak into the play-offs, but apart from a few players we don;t have the quality required to make the step up. Such is life, sometimes you need a knock to give you clarity allowing you to move forward.

Hopefully Mac takes this on, goes back to the drawing board and puts the right moves in place to strengthen us for next season.

Are you serious? Our 2013/14 side was miles better than this Leeds side.

Good players? Who? We were missing eight first-teamers! EIGHT. And even with those EIGHT first-team players, the best Derby XI nowadays is still miles off the 2013/14 side.

Not to mention all of our backups to our first choice LB who aren't far off in quality. Hanson got rinsed today.

We need to be careful not to be too critical. It's a miracle we're 7th given how bad we were at the start of the season. Even when we won 7 in a row we didn't play well. Our problems are there for all to see in last 2 league games, no balance in midfield, need a box to box midfielder, and no focal point up front. Additionally tonight with Shackell  playing we were far too deep, too slow at the back and our full back situation is crippling us.

mcclaren got team selection wrong and needs to hold his hands up, and can hopefully fix our problems in the transfer window in getting a midfielder in, getting Martin back, then hopefully get our full backs fit and we may have a chance.

I also hate to say it, but think it's the end of the road for Bryson at Derby.

Leeds were, to be fair, brilliant. We haven't been outfought, out thought, outmuscled and outplayed like that all season by anyone.

The wrong 11 in the first half didn't help.

Thought it was strange to stick with that 11. Some serious questions have to be asked of the management with regards to tactics and selection.

Was always gonna be hard to build momentum from the 2nd half, but to be fair, for 20mins we did.

2nd half was better, mainly down to Will and he couldn't do it all on his own.

Theres a lot real venom on this forum directed to some of our players, where only 3 weeks ago we were singing their praises. Tonight was a bad night at the office. We can't be this capricious with our praise/criticism.

Whether it's the sign of a soft underbelly or just a small blip, who knows.

My only feeling is that our players need (A)  Chris Martin type player, to keep possession and keep the ball in the attacking half. Our ability to hold onto the ball tonight was awful.

But as I said, we met a Leeds tonight side at the height of their powers.

Why f about will the ball at the back so much with a unsettled back line?

When they showed the stats in the areas of the pitch   DER 75 MID 35 LEE 0. We had easily 60% of that facking about!

Firstly because Shackell telegraphs every pass and hits it in slow motion.

Neither full backs are the best going forward so the back 4 is flat.

Bryson gives the ball back where it comes from. Never turns on it.

Forwards don't drop in enough to go long and low. Only one winger plays with his head up.

That leaves two ways out. Hughes and Ince.

Not enough.

Tell thee what... it's a bloody good job Steve doesn't lose many games! Because the amount of wrist slashing that ensues from his faithfull fans is incredible!

2 hours ago we were a team that had shown we could compete with and beat an established premiership side - then a quick trip to a very good and inspired Leeds team, against whom we had a bad day and got beat - and half the squad need shipping out and our play is one dimensional and we're never going up!

Not at all. Ince looked half arsed under Pearson, different player now.

But getting a lucrative 4 year contract on 25k a week can really make a player feel comfortable.

Monk had a whole transfer window to figure out what he needed. Leeds don't have the strongest XI, but they look really balanced which goes a long way.

They had a target man, we didn't. They had a proper midfield trio consisting of a holding player (Bridcutt), a linking midfielder (Vieira) and a proper creative attacking midfield who can carry the ball (Hernandez).

Compare that to De Sart, Johnson, Bryson and Bent. No waonder they completely dominated the centre of the pitch.

Then we had a League One left-back and left-winger. They had Berardi and Doukara, miles better.

That starting XI tonight would struggle to stay in the Championship.

We were missing Martin, Thorne, Hughes, Butterfield, Forsyth, Christie, Pearce and Russell from our bext XI. Eight players! Some perspective needed there.

we shouldnt be to hard on the team as much as i hate to praise leeds they are a good team and are improving at just the right time worth a few bob on  for automatic promotion

Leeds beat us fair and square but the Sky crew commenting on this game are the most biased bunch of people we could ever see. At half time, Beagrie (I think) said we should have conceded a penalty and Bryson should have been sent off for elbowing Hernandez. Bet he's chuffed at least that we ended up with someone getting sent off.

Camara, Hanson, Johnson, Vydra, Shakell, Bryson, Bent all looked out of their depth.

Leeds are a team who are going places. We just looked like dead wood.

Agree on most of those. Hanson improved second half and maybe harsh to judge him playing out of position and behind the terminally useless camara. Johnson did ok but deservedly sent off at the end. Shackell  not that bad but we know his limitations.

I didnt think leeds  were that good but Hernandez is obviously pure class.

Ha its suddenly the worst game ever or this player or that one are the worst players to wear a derby shirt....I've seen some proper ***** over the years and this team are nowhere close to being the worst.

Agreed. And said the same above. Heroes to Villains and back again, week in, week out. When times are tough we turn on ourselves. It's not the way we should behave

In fairness, we were told by Watford fans that playing Vydra on the wing would effectively be like playing no-one. This isn't just because he's comfortable at Derby.

He was bought (at an extortionate cost) to be played in a system we don't utilise. I'll be throwing my **** at Pearson long before Vydra does enough wrong to make me blame him.
