Villa will need to build a bigger dressing room soon.

They're now linked with Rhodes again, even though they already have Ayew, Agbonlahor, Kozak, Kodja and McCormack

Isn't that Kozak god awful?

I wouldn't want McCormack or Rhodes here. Think they are trying to buy their way out of the league. This is exactly what Blackburn did when they bought Rhodes from Huddersfield. It won't happen this year & then they will realise that they've over spent so need to try and get promoted with the squad they had the previous year & then they'll be a floater within this league for years to come. They need to be promoted this year otherwise they're in trouble.

Isn't that what every club tries to do? Some just have more money than others

I think the key difference is that most clubs do this in a more sustainable manner where as the continued spending spree of Villa will cause lasting damage if they don't get promoted this season.

Key difference is Villa will receive £87m over 3 seasons in the Championship, which other than Newcastle and Norwich won't be able to compete with.

No way will this season be a **** or bust for them having spent £50m they have also sold £22m worth, some of which would have been on big wages. A net spend which is only slightly higher than us last summer without the parachute payments.

Lansbury to Villa and we are a keen on non league forward who has scored 8 goals....

Roger Davies or Malcolm Christie will do fine, thanks.

As David has said - they can spend vast amounts and get away with it.

FFP (that was supposed to reduce the ability to buy your way out of the league (under the guise of preventing reckless spending)) has effectively caused the divide between Championship & ex-PL clubs to get even bigger as a result of the new TV deal and vast sums given to 'compensate' for relegation

I understood every one of his words - individually.

Collectively, not so much.

Agreed. I passed GCE English but failed miserably on GCE Rubbish. Does DCFC10's name indicate his age perhaps?

We end up with a striker who's best of his career well behind him and a player who we've never heard of brilliant transfer window this

In your opinion.

could also spin it as signed two premier league players, one who has two promotions from this division, the other is a must pick for Belgium under 21s who have the best international youth system in Europe, who boro poached from a team with a fantastic youth set up.

looking at you post history on here, it pretty clear your opinion on all things Derby.
