Big Issue publishers.

I know you're joking, but it's a brilliant way to build someone up that's hit rock bottom..... It's an amazing thing

Movie critics, music critics and so on.

..which doesn't mean just anyone who writes about them, those doing so in a bid to promote positivity surrounding something they've enjoyed and feel could do with some exposure should be excluded from your scorn.

The best way of expanding your musical horizons (and not just writing off anything that a doesn't fit into the boundaries which were set when your tastes last developed in about 1990) is looking through positive reviews on blogs and websites whilst ignoring the negative ones. If someone else has been enthused enough write about how much they enjoy something, then you may just find something in it that makes you a fan too - what's the point in reading people's negative opinions about something so subjective? You'd never find anything new to like.

Critics are people who are not talented enough to do the things they are critisizing those with the talent to actually performing. Otherwise they would be starring themselves. However there are critics who are good at their job.
