Favourite Chant?

As we all know the chants/songs have got less and less imaginative over the years to the point where 90% of them are no generic across every team from Leicester to Forest Green Rovers. It got me thinking, what was my favorite chant/song of all time....

Don't know why but I always liked "If Lee Dixon plays for England so can I", I always rated Dixon too....

Also..."Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly, have you heard of the north bank highbury? Shanks said no, I don't think so, but ive heard of the C Stand?pop side/ Boot boys Derby"

In more recent times I do rather like the Adam Johnson tribute by the Geordies and the songs taking the pee out of Gerard for slipping over and never winning the league.

Tired and Weary and We are Derby.

As far as other teams go, I quite like Sheff Utd's version of 'You Fill Up My Senses'.

Almost forgot, "You're so quiet you sound like Nottingham", when we play Forest. Not because it's a good song, but the number of levels it doesn't work on makes it brilliant.

I like "Your Ma, Your Ma, Your Ma's a Mattress"...........same tune as der, der, der, da, der, der der......England!

And I quite like....."Your not very good, your not very good, your not, your not, your not very good" and "your **** and you know you are" And "where we you, when you were ****"

Used to love the Rioch song,

Hello hello how do you do

we are the boys in white and blue

we love to sing, we love to fight

we hate the boys in red and white...

we'll sing a song of victory, we'll sing a song in harmony

the Villa fans will never mock,

when they remember Bruce Rioch

Ri-och Ri-och clap, clap, clap, clap, Ri-och Ri-och, clap, clap, clap, clap

If, by some wicked mis-alignation of the celestial divinities, we fail to get promoted, we should sing that against the villah next season.

We're waiting for the glory of the coming of our lord

Number 10 on his back, 5 goals he has scored

His name is Kevin Hector and he'll soon be at the top

When the Rams go marching on.

Glory glory Kevin Hector

Glory glory Kevin Hector

Glory glory Kevin Hector

When the Rams go marching on on on.

or

10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more

forest nil, Derby 4

he ran down the wing but he failed to see

and he couldnt get past Terry Hennessey

Derby... Derby... DERBY                   DERBY... Derby... Derby... Derby

We all follow the Derby
Over land sea (and Leicester)
We all follow the Derby
On to victory
All together now...

Away, away, away
We will follow the Derby away
BY TRAIN OR BY CAR
It doesn't matter how far
We will follow the derby away...

Build a bonfire
Build a bonfire
Put the Forest on the top
Put the Leicester in the middle
And burn the f*ckin lot...

my personal favourite is the stan collymore song

That doesn't surprise me one bit. It is aimed at the lowest common denominator.

I don't understand why you have such a bee in your bonnet about that chant. We wouldn't normally laugh at a bloke suffering a serious injury, but as the lyrics suggest, it's seen as some kind of karmic justice because he's a dick who likes to slap women about.

Because it gives people the impression that Derby fans are thick, boorish buffoons. Now that might sit easily on your shoulders, but I pride myself on being just a little bit higher along the evolutionary trail than a whelk.

Just substitute Fozzy and Cyrus in the last two lines and you've got a hit!
