sage Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 I went Mitchell Hanson Rawson Buxton McDonald Timi Resnik Guy Calero Vernam Blackman Bent 60 minutes - Thomas for Blackman and Santos for Bent, Vernam switched to CF 75 minutes - McDonald for Vernam Mitchell - 7 - One good save, excellent on crosses but 2 poor kicks Hanson - 7 - Some good passes and headers, but his man gt behind him twice Rawson - 6 - Made a bad mistake early on, strong after but not a great passer Bucko - 8 - Imperious, great passing and talked the young left back through the game McDonald - 7 - Up against a decent winger and stuck to his task, only ok on the ball Timi Resnik - 8 - Usually plays a little further forward, but very comfortable om the ball and a good passer Guy - 7 - hardworking and linked play well, great cross for the first goal Calero - 6 - was very poor till he scored on 55 minutes then got into the game Vernam 8 - Great control, linked play well, will be a quicker Chris Martin in a couple of years times Bent 7 - held up play well, took goal nicely but offside 63 times Blackman 6 - Had one good cross and a good shot, very poor inbetween Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bucko gave a master display of how to defend (and look after the youngsters around him). Back to McDonald, with him and Max Lowe coming through I think we will be well served on the left if they carry on their progress. He was very mobile and looked after the ball well which I like. Vernam has always impressed me and I thought he was a handful for Blackburn tonight, Callum Guy must be horrible to play against, he just doesn't seem to leave anyone alone and definitely doesn't shy away from a tackle.
