Did you see Sunny Afternoon yet? I saw it a few months ago. Really enjoyed it, but the first half was a lot better than the second!

I went to see it last night and I enjoyed both halfs as much as a pint!

"Winning on a Saturday afternoon......."

"In McClaren time, In McClaren time......"..........sing up!

The Undertones on Friday night.........wonder if they'll come on stage after that football thing at Wembley.

Just added Elbow to my list. Really looking forward to that one - although its not until March 1st.

Upcoming for me:

Catfish and the Bottlemen
Bastille
Panic! at the Disco
Slaves
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Avenged Sevenfold/In Flames/Disturbed
Two Door Cinema Club
Elbow

Would be a pretty decent festival list in my humble opinion!

Did you see Catfish & The Bottlemen at the Arena? I thought they weren't bad at all meself, didn't they win a Brit for Best Up & Coming Band?

Need a hand mate. Working on a Jona Lewie (?) Christmas Song Sheet for updated old school Vulcan Popside Rams (to help stop the cavalry).

So far I've got :

Tiptoe, through the Trent End

Ask the Steward to relocate you

Tiptoe through the Trent End with me.

and

When you're tired and weary

And feeling a wee bit tired

Why not pop into the Pointy Room

And have an half of mild

When you walk up to the Ipro

You hear a mighty roar

You should've stopped for another half

It sounds like Derby's scored.

And of course

D, DCH

Derby City Hospital

Has failed to meet performance targets

So if you're visiting from other health areas

Please act responsibly.

Finally

If I had the wings of a sparrow (or was it an eagle)

If I had the arse of an horse

I'd fly over Nottingham tomorrow

And help the budget challenged City Parks Department by contributing a large amount of naturally sourced fertiliser to help propagate the superb floral displays that this much maligned, and yet in many ways, fair town is rightly accustomed to*

*not sure of the scansion on this last one

Yeah, really enjoyed it. After seeing the likes of Muse, it was refreshing to see it back to basics. I thought you could tell that it was Derby Arena's second gig, though.

That's a shame. I've never been to a gig that was abandoned! Or a match come to think of it.

Not sure if I should admit this but I was at a Gary Glitter gig at Wembley Arena on a bitterly cold night. T-Rextasy did their support slot and then there was a long long wait. Eventually, someone came on stage and said The Leader of the Gang (Bang) had fallen off his platform shoes and twisted his ankle so the gig got abandoned.
