PistoldPete2
I think we're pretty much set for a 4-4-2, diamond, formation against Bolton now. It's not my formation, but based on pre-season form, I wouldn't be surprised to see this team:GrantChristie, Keogh, Shackell, ForsythThorneHughes, HendrickInceMartin, RussellCarson, Shotton, Pearce, Baird, Bryson, Weimann and BentI would go with this... Haven't seen weimann play and don't know if martin is fit yet. . Bit concerned our golden four of ince bent , weimann and martin have scored on,y one goal between them in pre seaon. Thought they would be scoring goals for fun.

Sexydadbod
I know I made my team before but having dissected it , I've made a few controversial changes: GrantBaird Keogh Pearce Forsyth ThorneBryson Hughes InceMartin RussellAs you can see I haven't included Shackell or Weimann. The reason for not including Shackell is because he hasn't played any pre season matches so we don't know how fit he is. I haven't included Weimann either because Russell has been in fine form and it would be harsh to leave him out.Since we also play Portsmouth in the league cup that same week , I think we should play Shackell in that game to see how sharp he is and if he is then we can play him alongside Keogh against Charlton.Incidently this would be my team for the Portsmouth game: CarsonChristie Shotton(if he isn't sold) Shackell Warnock HansonSsewankambo(played in this position in pre season) Hendrick Calero Bent Weimann

I would have Dawkins for shotton. Baird can cover for christie at RB and also for Thorne in midfield. Dawkins and Bryson for further midfield cover and weimann and bent for forward cover. Does look pretty strong to me, just hope we don't get injuries.
G.Roberts (GR3)
For me 2 formations would stick out, 1: safe and balanced, 2: bit more risky but i believe it could work.1: Grant / Carson (still not to bothered which)Baird Keogh/pearce (form dependant) Shackell Warnock Thorne HughesInce Martin Russell Weimann2: Grant / Carson (still not to bothered which) Keogh Pearce Shackell Baird ThorneInce Hughes Russell Martin Weimann Bent isnt in either only because I believe he could be a better super sub but again form dependant he and weimann can swap in and out. JakartaRam
Leave to PC , after all it's his job. If he get's it wrong we all suffer I know but that's how it is , I don't envy him one bit as the squad is probably the strongest since Jim Smith's "league of nations" in the Prem. Also not sure I'd change the entire team, smacks of not knowing our best line up so give them all a chance. I'd like to see as little change as possible amongst the back four at the start of the season, give them a chance to learn each others strengths and weaknesses before we start resting players.
