SIWY
I remember someone suggested singing Build Me Up Buttercup for Butterfield which would be quite good, a chant is definitely needed for Butterfield.
Philmycock
Back in the 90's we had to the tune of "Deck the Halls" we had.... "Paul Kitson's got swish curtains, fa-la-la-la laa, la-la la-la. Faa la-la la, faa la-la la, fa la la la la la la la laaa. Paul Kitson's got swish curtains, fa-la-la-la laa, la-la la-la. Johnny Harkes, captain of America, fa-la-la-la laa, la-la la-la. Faa la-la la, faa la-la la, fa la la la la la la la laaa. Johnny Harkes, captain of America, fa-la-la-la laa, la-la la-la." Can't remember any others but went through the team, was fast and loud!! Sang it at Southend away a memorable weekend!!! Updated version???

Philmycock
"Why do you build me up (build me up) Butterfield, baby Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin' You know that I have from the start So build me up (build me up) Butterfield, don't break my heart." OMG this needs to be sung!!!!!
BBG83
You're kidding me? You've only changed Buttercup for Butterfield. I'm not sure he'd appreciate the lyrics.
angieram
Sorry but I don't like the idea of singing a song to a player that says he's letting us down. For that reason I prefer the 'Mrs Robinson' song for Butterfield as it's more positive. I like the idea of a song where we can have a line for all the current players that we can mix and match for whoever is on the pitch.

G-Ram
Some of these chant ideas are more embarrassing than when Hull City had grown men in tiger face-paint singing 'tigers going to maul you' 30,000 people at every home game 28000 home fans virtually 28000 grown men singing build me up buttercup... Just let that sink in. It would be so embarrassing and if i were butterfield id hand in a transfer request after hearing it

Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end, we won the League, with Cloughie and Mackay, We should have won the Cup, but then we f cked it up, We are the Rams, Oh yes we are the Rams la la la la la la la........
