I thought Ballotelli was lucky to stay on as well to be honest.

Liverpool lacked discipline today and what they deserved out of the game in my opinion.

Gerrard won't get the criticism he deserves for that stamp either, it was sly and cowardly, if that was Joey Barton all the press and pundits would be screaming for a lengthy ban.

Gerrard has gotten away with a lot over his career. Good player yes, good servant yes. But fully deserved red today, and a stupid one at that! The media do love him & he can do no wrong in their eyes.

the odd thing is that the original post makes no comment about the main topic in the title! Either are fine, just one should match t'other.

Mentioning the red card in the title, but not mentioning to anyone that didn't know-

Gerrard was bought on as substitute at half time for Liverpool, after about 45 seconds of the second half, he stamped on Herrera and got sent off..
