SellyIOM
He never seems to get much of a mention on here or on sky but I think he is the basis of most things good we do.He stops shots well, collects from set pieces well and just seems so confident I think it transmits through the whole team. When it comes to the end of the season I think he'll push Johnny and Chrissy boy for player of the year, what do you lot think? ariotofmyown
His main problem is his positioning. If he could work on making it worse, he'd be able to pull of more amazing looking saves.
Cardifframs
I think it showed how much we missed him, when he was injured,a few weeks back His distribution starts the moves for us,and JB took a while,to get this going
Kernow
After Marshall of Cardiff and Ruddy of Norwich I challenge you to name a better keeper in this league that is better than Grant.
robglosta
New contract, says it all. Absolute colossus
rammieib
I rate Goalkeepers more on how few mistakes they make rather than the shots they save, however yesterday all the saves he made he pretty much pushed away from the danger zone. It's a small point but he's pretty good at it. I don't recall too many goals against us through rebounds from Granty.
Curtains
He was fantastic yesterday. He's a great goalie for us.
Mostyn6
goalkeepers at this level nowadays are much of a muchness. They're all awesome shot-stoppers. I don't think Grant is the best, but then the differences are negligible. He's probably on his way to brilliance under Steele's tutelage.
HeyHudson
Problem with goal keepers is that they tend not to get noticed unless they make a mistake. The good ones are those who do the simple things well, and hence don't attract attention. Grant falls firmly into this category.
Leicester Ram
Hardly ever mentioned on here that we've conceded the (joint) third least goals out of any team this season (23).
Ted McMinn Football Genius
He is worth at least 15-20 points a season. Just like Chrissy Martins goals are worth 20-25 points a season. Both are very valuable assets to our club.
Ambitious
I thought I'd do a little stats piece on Grant to try and give a bit of knowledge where he is in comparison to those around him. Top 5 Championship keepers based on goals conceded per minute + Karl Darlow for lolz Goal conceded per minute: Dimi Konstantopolis at Boro - 163.6 Bartz Bialkowski at Ipswich - 141.4 Kieran Westwood at Wednesday - 107.1 Lee Grant at Derby - 106.9 Arthur Boruc at Bournemouth - 102 --- Karl Darrow 65.5 Save per minute: Lee Grant - 28.5 Karl Darrow - 29.2 Bartz Bialkowski - 33 Kieran Westwood - 33.6 Arthur Boruc - 38.6 Dimi Konstantopolis - 39.1 Ball claimed per minute: Karl Darlow - 46 - 1 failed. Dimi Konstantopolis - 69 - 3 failed. Lee Grant - 85.5 - 1 failed. Kieran Westwood - 90 - 1 failed Bartz Bialkowski - 99 - 3 failed. Arthur Boruc - 118 - 3 failed. It's quite limited, but I think it shows in a roundabout way that Grant's possibly been the best keeper in the league this season. Well, between him and Dimi Konstantopolis, but he faces a lot more shots. All in all. We've got ourselves a good'un.
Ram8
Was always better than Lee Camp when he was here first time round , but Camp was always the 'blue eyed boy' !

Stive Pesley
That's what I thought - explain for us thickies? Does it mean he concedes a goal every 107 minutes? Saves a shot every 28.5 minutes? Ball claimed per minute? No idea
Alph
It's just the other way around. He saves a shot every blah blah minutes. Claims the ball every blah blah minutes. Darlow is busy

Stive Pesley
Ha - good point I just remember the keeper stats from the Scottish Season...they had Bywater down as the best shot-stopper in the Premiership, but didn't mention that was because our defence was so poor he was being exposed to 5 times as many efforts on goal as anyone else's keeper..
