Mafiabob
If the captain of the England U21s is available on loan and you need a keeper.... You sign him. Roos will get his time eventually
-JW-
Roos has been struggling with injury himself. Better safe than sorry.
NeilHunt180
If it were only going to be one or two games I'd expect us to go with Roos. But given that we have 6 games in the 2 and a half weeks before the next international break I'm not surprised in the slightest - think it's a fair assumption Grant will miss most of them, longer if the "fractured foot" the Stoke papers are referring to turns out to be true. Shuff264
Roos is more than capable and a bit disappointed to see him not given the chance, really depends on how long Grant is out for. Including reading its about 7 games in 21 days, could do we a couple of good keepers just in case.
peakram
Roos deserves the chance for me, he's looked great on the occasions we have seen him so far and could easily have took his place if Grant hadn't recovered so quickly pre season from the knee op. Would have Butler there as back up as he seems to have dropped down the pecking order at Stoke and didn't have a great time at Leeds on loan last season apparently. Leicester Ram
We need 2 keepers available though, if Grants injured we need another 1st team keeper
Srg
Possibly the best signing we could have made in this situation. More than happy with it, although must say something about Roos.
Shuff264
He is England U21 keeper so he must be fairly decent, not got much competition mind.
peakram
Suppose a decent keeper wouldn't come and stay on the bench so in that regard he has to go straight in (it says in Stoke report he will make his debut tomorrow). Don't think it reflects on Roos, he has looked very good but is very inexperienced so perhaps at this stage keep him out of the limelight while he develops Mac is thinking. Papahet
Under 21 captain, rated highly at Stoke and arguably a future England #1 A Coup IMO
admira
I can't believe anyone is complaining about this. He's a full England International, not Patrick Foletti!
Dale The Ram
Held his own at Birmingham and hell do fine here! Roos might be good, not seen him play at reading but Jack Butland imo is equal if not better than Grant

DEL
Under 21 captain, rated highly at Stoke and arguably a future England #1 A Coup IMO Poor at Leeds, Barnsley... Future number 1 LOL.
Rampage
Looks like Butland is coming to Rams until end of the year so Grant injury looks like two to three months.
AshfieldRam
I'll be the first to admit Lee Grant has been fantastic since Eric Steele has come in. When he first came back he looked shakey, nervous and clueless with balls into the box but now he's quality! Butland would be an excellent cover for Grant though and will learn loads from Eric Steele. if he does impress and we we're to extand the loan for the season imagine the competion between Jack Butaland and Lee Grant. Papahet
Poor at Leeds, Barnsley... Future number 1 LOL. Quality for England u21s, likewise Stoke in the cup. Barnsley and Leeds defence compared to ours were *****
Tombo
We haven't conceded in 4 games, imagine the immense pressure that'd put on Roos. Turns up for Blackpool, lets a goal in, feels like he let everyone down because he couldn't keep the clean sheet run going. It's not the time for Roos, especially since he is coming back from a slight knock himself. His chance will come, I'm sure of it.
North_Stand_Ram
Will already know the England youth boys + Shotton which will be good for him when settling in.
Ramchope
What a cover signing! Even if we were to start Roos, we'd need to bring in a goalie on loan for competition anyway. Can't think of anyone better we could have signed in this situation.
