nfb Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Its all been said, but Hughes my MOM, altho Christie was a close 2nd, Hughes was everywhere, and was quality and even tho he was playing deep, controlled so much of the game for us, and made some brilliant tackles too, maybe he's growing into the part ? Christie looks like a decent buy doesn't he ? we were wondering who would fill Wisdoms shoes... Ladies and gentlemen we have a contender still to be proven against decent attack, but great last 2 games. Good work out for the lads tonite, and maybe thats why Mac didnt make many changes... FunkyRam Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 I thought Ward was ok. Took his man on the outside a few times, put one on a plate for martin first half and could of scored two headers. Did everything but score.. As said full backs had a great game, Hughes has proved in last two matches he can play the holding role and Martin is of the mark. peakram Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Pretty comfortable win in the end. Enjoyed the game, some good football. Both full backs excellent as McClaren said, really liking the look of Christie, seems to put in a good cross. First half felt we were looking after ourselves in the 50 50 tackles but when they ran out of gas we didn't have too many problems (barring the free kick that hit the bar). Never understood people answering questions with yes no either. Some others prefer no yes, usually Irish racehorse trainers when you ask them if their horse is fancied.. Did more in 30 mins than our other striker did all last season Could have been 5 nil created plenty and their keeper played a blinder.
