Honestly, just introduce transfers. What's the difference.

Most players know what country they consider home. If they have adopted a country as their own then fair enough. There must be a country that everyone considers home. If that country is corrupt/civil war etc then you surely have a unique case.

How can Zaha not know his home country

Does Lee Camp think he's Irish?

Seriously, just buy and sell players at international level. Maybe a draft system.

Can't be much more ridiculous than begging Sterling to be English.

What nationality are you sir?

My grandad is Nigerian.

Riiiiight

Should be national products v national products.

Otherwise it's just club football.

Januszaj is from Kosovo originally. Belgium have asked about his availability, but he feels more aligned to Albania, as that is where a number of Kosovans reside in footballing terms.

Albania have yet to take action on this.

Adnan Januzaj (pronounced [adˈnan januˈzaj]; born 5 February 1995) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Manchester United. Born in Brussels, he began his career with Belgian club Anderlecht, but joined Manchester United in 2011 at the age of 16.

Januzaj was born in Brussels to Kosovar-Albanian parents.[2] As a 10-year-old boy, he signed for Belgian side Anderlecht. He left Anderlecht for Manchester United in March 2011 as a 16-year-old after impressing in a skills session in Brussels.

Linaker & Woy discussing his availability for England just goes to show how desperate we are for technically efficient players for the national team. He's 19 and started one game for Utd against bottom of the league and they're already spunking themselves thinking he's world class...

Hope he chooses Albania, he would be the King of Albania with Belgiam just another player, a small fish in a big pond.

It's very rare that you get an obscure CB Fry reference on a football forum - and described so cryptically.
