Quite musing that we have traded one problem for another, albeit early days. Couldn't buy an away win last year, while being reasonably strong at home.

Not really missing not having a ST in all honesty.

Thought the thing that we missed the most was the best trait Burnley had today, Jason Shackell.

Not a Shackell love in or told you so like many a thread over the past year but how good was he today? The heart of Burnley's fine defensive display and a great leader and captain. It's a shame he apparently had shenanigans behind the scenes going on because we've never replaced him.

I don't even think our overall performance was that bad, we just massively struggled to break Burnley down in anyway, shape or form today. A stark contrast looking at Burnley's counter attacking display, they looked like they were going to score everytime they got in our box.

If this display doesn't open Nigel's eyes at how bad defensively we are then throw the towel in and resign where we are. We need a centre back or we'll just carry on this inconsistent form we've had for the past year. Incapable of putting any sort of run together when needed.

Ratings for what they're worth:

Grant - 6. Got MOTM but thought he could have done better overall.

Forsyth - 6. Better defensively, probably down to the fact that he had Keith Tracey "running" at him. Not as many hopeless hoofs either.

Keogh - 4. Not good enough. Poor concentration, mistakes that have happened every game so far this season are still there. Shouldn't be captain, isn't a leader of men.

Buxton - 4. Fault for the first, awful defending. Aimless punts upfield when the easy ball was on.

Freeman - 5. Didnt handle their left winger very well, got done almost every time. Turns his back on the cross for their second, comes back into our box off of him. Poor. Rightly replaced.

Ward - 5. Wasted out wide, sloppy when he did get it.

Bryson & Hughes - 6. They don't do enough when there's just the 2 of them. They need to step it up.

Coutts - 5. Didn't help any cause, attacking or defending.

Martin - 6. Not his afternoon, Shackell and the other lad at centre back did well against him.

Russell - 5. Should of scored with one of 3 great oppertunities. Poor display.

Subs:

Smith - 6. Looked ok going forward. Decent defensively.

Davies 6. Didnt do anything? Why he came on instead of Jacobs I'll never know.

Sammon - 6. Not enough time.
