North_Stand_Ram
Clough basically confirmed in an interview that Deeney will be no. 2 and Morch no. 3 and that if needed a loan may be used if Grant gets injured...
gcdcfc28
Good signing. Grant meant he's half way throughout his footballing career as a keeper - He said he wanted to play into his 40's ala Brad Friedel
jimbobram
Clough basically confirmed in an interview that Deeney will be no. 2 and Morch no. 3 and that if needed a loan may be used if Grant gets injured... Really ? Morch is a good keeper I think he should be number 2 but that means that leggo and fielding are basically goners already.
North_Stand_Ram
Yep. Said both want first team football and he doubts they'll be back come pre season. Said Deeney can do a job and that Morch is a very good up and coming keeper
midtableforever
I thought Deeney is utter ****?
Mr Tibbs
Deeney is utter *****. Surely Lego would have waited for his chance again.
sage
I thought Deeney is utter ****? He's only steady, but he will be on the bench and can sub Grant if he's injured. Will get a loan in to cover games he misses. It's a bit of a risk, but you free up money for another outfield player.
DcFc Dyycheee
Not unless he started goalkeeping as soon as he dropped out of his mother! Never know, some goalkeepers start young.
notts_ram
Does it matter who the other clubs are? It does to me
North_Stand_Ram
Grants never really had an injury in his career, only suspensions would be a worry.
midtableforever
Now i have no doubts Conor Doyle's contract was extended.
DcFc Dyycheee
Yeah, Nigel said that if Grant does miss a few games, we'll get a loan in. I'd be happy having Saul on the bench, not like he'll play many games (if any) will he? Also, can free up some wage and get some fee's in to bring in another outfield player, good business! jimbobram
if Grant gets injured...and we get a loan in, then how is Morch 3rd choice, he basically wont get a game at all
Boycie
I can't see the logic in keeping Deeny? Stick Morch as number 2 and a youth at number 3. Or is that too simple? Deeny must have some hold over the club?
sage
Deeney is supposed to be funny and a nice guy. If he happy to sit on the bench for very low wages, Happy Days!!
North_Stand_Ram
I agree. Morch is highly rated and I'm sure having him as no.2, even if he wasn't to play, would be more beneficial than keeping deeney
Boycie
I'll feckin sit on the bench for free, then if I get called up during a match come steaming out and chop down one of their players and get sent off. And still return after my suspension.
BondJovi
Hmmmmm, if Grant knows he only has Deeney as competition doesn't put any pressure on him! Oh well.... Super Saul to save the day... Rather drag Savage back and stick him in net...
ShermanCardenas
All football players are lucky, and then there's Deeney...
DCFCfranco
Grants never really had an injury in his career, only suspensions would be a worry. you do realise now you've put this, he's going to get injured.
