Not just the points not letting us sign any players even ones out of contract in January was the nail in the coffin

Anybody saying the away form killed us - you can’t expect that amount of youth to adapt to Championship football that quickly. Playing away is totally different to playing at home, especially with a thin bare squad.

Rooney has done an unbelievable job and without his hands tied, I fully trust him to bring in players who will smash league one next season.

No time for feeling down and deflated- it’s time to roll our sleeves up and prepare as a football club to come straight back up.

Anyway, we just ran out of players really - not enough options to change things or freshen things up really.

All of the players, staff, fans have given everything.

We know where we are now - need the takeover to get done ASAP so we can get the squad sorted.

That we came this close is astounding - You have to remember that in the first half of the season the squad, albeit threadbare and small, was stronger than it is now. Couldn't be prouder of what they've done.

The problem is all at the front. Having to play a kid up front who is far from ready for the first team created a massive problem.

Ironic it had to be QPR...
1-0 in the final few minutes at Wembley prevent us from going up and set us on this path.  Final few minutes today send us down.
Ah well, assuming the takeover completes we dust ourselves down and enjoy the journey back.  COYR

I've been saying it for years on here, the BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, the gutter press, all the same, if your not one of the 'big clubs' or one of them fashionable London clubs they want in their own elite Premier League, with their cheating corrupt football clubs, yeah the shower of poo that wanted to join the super league etc, then they will show it and speak about it, how they like it, in their own arrogant deluded, blinkered, bias way, with their 'loads of money' 'duck everyone else' because they have a global branded worldwide super football club to support.
Same teams playing against each other. League Cup Liverpool v Chelsea, FA Cup Liverpool v Chelsea...........and the stupid, ignorant, greedy fans of these global clubs think everyone in football wants to see these same teams in the finals!........The murderers of football!............boring.boring, repeat repeat and wash!
Sky Sports also told us all on Friday night that CK supports ducking Chelsea!.........ducking Chelsea!
The best thing about this weekend was when my eldest lad (a Liverpool fan) replied to my question on the train to Watford, we were holidaying in London for a few days, unfortunately Scotland go back to school on Easter Monday so we couldn't go to Q.P.R on Monday so we opted for Watford v Brentford on Saturday (Adults £30 Kids £5) and I offered to him, that we got off the train at Wembley instead, on route to try and get in the FA Cup Semi Final Liverpool v Man City if he wanted too.
He replied that the Watford game would be more interesting, and he now also preferred watching Derby County instead of Liverpool, because winning every week was boring, and you never knew or could predict what would happen, when watching Derby, and that was more exciting and the atmosphere was greater!. We also had a wonderful afternoon at Watford being neutral and enjoying a game of football and my lad made me a proud dad, as he gets football, like I get football.
Unfortunately I spent this afternoon with my eldest brother a Chelsea fan, watching the second half of the FA Cup Semi Final on the TV back in Aberdeen, as he spouted a !oad of biased nonesence, whilst my youngest brother a Wolves fan pointed out, that whatever his team achieved in the Premier League, they do well to get a few minutes highlights at the back end of Match of The Day, unless of course, they are lucky enough to be playing the 'big teams' etc etc..............
My lad likes the Derby County blue away strip........from a Red to a Blue!
    Up The Rams........proper football club!
PS Quest like us, because the producer is a Derby County fan, and Colin likes us, because....................money talks!

I am so looking forward to this. Everyone have a great time but please keep the drink to a minimum let's not give efl to punish us further.

My best night at PP ever. That is what a stadium should be like. That is how fans and team should be. I am in the codgers seats in the east stand. I wasn’t  singing, shouting, complaining, cheering alone. Them old boogers* were at it too, in numbers . So many closet vocalists .. well they’re out in the open now. “We know who you are” … Let’s do it again .. every week, forever …Bitter sweet but  I’m loving this and this team.

What I meant by 'knowing where we stand' is we will either have a chance or we literally are relegated. That's why Monday is crucial. If we do not match Reading's result we are gone.
Hopefully we can get the win and results go in our favour so the great escape is truly on again. It would be a shame to have 3 dead rubbers. We somehow have to keep the chance alive until the last game then anything is possible.
There is no greiving process as far as I'm concerned. I've already come to terms with league one as its been coming for a long time and has been likely ever since the extra 9 points came off. So from my point of view there is absolutely no benefit of us knowing we're mathematically down by 5pm Monday. I want to enjoy these final few games with something to play for, knowing that there is still a glimmer of hope that we can do something special.
If it's not to be then so be it. But while its mathematically possible, I will keep believing. COYR.

It's no so much a "where" with Ipswich as a "when" I find. To be fair, there's been a lot of moderisation and these days it's only a decades step back in time, motor vehicles aren't feared as "the devils carriage", interior plumbing is the norm, the marvels of the modern world like electric lighting and talking pictures are almost seen as usual by the sufolk peasentry.
