    We signed Jack Marriott.
    His contract expired.
    He signed for Peterborough again.
Even if any money was owed, that would not be written off just because he signed for them again.
He was a free agent, could have signed anywhere, it just happened to be his former club Peterborough.
The EFL had absolutely no involvement in sending him back there, it's never ever ever happened ever in football.
All the EFL did was prevent us from offering him a new contract.
Both Jayden Bogle and Max Lowe are under contract until 2024, unless Sheffield United lost their minds and were willing to give them away for free, we have no chance at all of signing them.
Apologies if I've come across as being overly harsh, it's just with this and the Coventry thread the other day, you're trying to compare situations and twisting things in an attempt to get us signing players.

At least in goal B4 could stand up all game. It’s worth considering ?

Over the past few days, those who shall remain nameless have been bombarded with pointy fingers and raised eyebrows for taking a flight from EMA to Blackpool Away.
Also, there are a number of companies who have lost varying amounts of income, solely due to Derby County FC "not being able to afford to pay their bills".
Now, imagine the anger and accusations that would be aimed at Derby County FC, if they now decide to switch on the extremely expensive heating, to heat a non-insulated semi-outdoor structure, in order to satisfy a few selfish individuals who are (or ought to be) otherwise dressed for cold, outdoor temperatures.
When you've imagined that... have a cup of Bovril, then imagine some more, as it'll be much worse than you first imagined!  ?

To be fair, you will find many jobs that work in cold environments, dress appropriately for the conditions.
Heated concourses is somewhat of a luxury, how many grounds have you seen it on your travels?
In a world where energy prices hand gone through the roof, makes sense not to waste money on heating a concrete corridor where the heat escapes out through the exits.

Well I’ve watched the highlights twice  now (and I once thought about going to an away game) so that should be my 6 x Wembley tickets sorted ?

On the standing vs sitting question as annoying as it is there is a culture in this country of standing for away games. I tend to think if you are going away then obviously you need to keep that in mind. It sucks for many people but that's the state of play for a lot of clubs nowadays and generally has been since I've been going. Given how difficult it is to get away tickets atm the argument that we cordon off sections for standing/sitting is most likely unworkable. For any 'big game' it would also be completely fruitless as an exercise thus limiting its effectiveness to matches where if you want to sit you likely can anyway.
However, having said this I've got a ticket for Bolton on the front row of the bottom tier and am expecting to sit down for the match. Whilst I'd prefer to stand I view it as common courtesy to sit down if someone is older and would like to watch the match. I'd like to think that most people would accept that if you're very low down then you may have to sit down for the duration of the game even if your personal preference is to stand. We all want to go for as long as we can and some people are unfortunately not blessed with the health or stamina to stand for 2 hours. I'd hate to think that if one day as I got older I felt I couldn't enjoy the rams away because younger healthier folk couldn't stand the idea of sitting down near the front of the stand.
So for me the name of the game is realism and consideration. It's not realistic to expect formal structures to be put in place on the standing vs sitting question and neither are they for my money likely to work. But people should be considerate of others. If you're wanting to stand then try to get a ticket closer to the back of the stand. If that's not possible you should accept it is the considerate and polite thing to sit down if you are asked to do so.

    Good move for all parties.

He hasn’t done much with his opportunities at Derby and needs game time and confidence.

Matlock have a lad who should be decent at that level and we can benefit from that longer term.

People see the writing on the wall.
Rosenior has been here in the coaching set up for years.
His philosophy didn’t work with previous squads, so why will this group be any different?
You’re kidding yourself if you think things will click in 5-10 games and we’ll become this exciting, free scoring side.
We’ve been waiting 2.5 years for it all to click.
It’s not about having faith or having patience or relaxing. We’re all perfectly calm and we can all see this hasn’t worked and even in the league below, it’s a flawed philosophy because to make it work, you need time and money to be able to tweak it to perfection and to make the team more or less infallible.
Rosenior does not have those luxuries. He needs to find a way of getting the best out of the group, which is still a very able and strong group for L1 standards, and getting results, plain and simple.

I take your point mate but I honestly don't think we really have played good stuff.
First half at Charlton was good, ended up losing cos the second half was abysmal.
First half against Barnsley was good.
Last 20 against Oxford were OK.
    Shrewsbury and Fleetwood very similar.
Peterborough we got out of jail against 10 men.
    Tonight was pitiful.
I've never been sold on Rosenior, going back to the time him and Rooney were joint until Rooney took it full time. He talks a good game and it's like he's been media trained to within an inch of his life. He says things that he believes we want to hear, but the never ever backs up what he says.
Praises Oduroh and Rooney in the cup games they've played, says he's not afraid to throw players in, says nobody, not even players like Hourihane are guaranteed a start.
Not one single person would have moaned tonight if he'd have started Oduroh and moved Knight into midfield, infact, I'd argue most would have been very happy with it. I doubt many would have moaned if Rooney had come in for Bird.
I came out of Plymouth hoping that it was a blessing in disguise and that it had shown us up and maybe we needed that kick up the backside.
Rosenior has mentioned how good it's been having all this time on the training ground to work and then they go out and put out a performance like that?
I genuinely wanted things to work for him, because he seems like a really nice bloke. I've kept quiet with my reservations about him because I wanted to see him do well. But there is nothing here to suggest to me we'll be anywhere near the top 6.
Only one team have scored less goals than us and to get 2 points and score 0 goals from Charlton, Shrewsbury, Fleetwood and Lincoln away is unforgivable.
If anything the performances have been getting worse.
Teams have found out exactly how to stop us and Rosenior hasn't got the first clue how to change it.
Let's not forget that Rosenior was a massive part on the coaching field (By Rooney's admission he left Rosenior to the coaching) in which we won 3 out of 23 away games.
    Well now it's 3 out of 27.
    Not good enough.
Clearly Clowes isn't sold on him either. Otherwise he would be in charge by now.

Ignoring the bizarre doubt you have over the clubs statement.
We have 6 players more than what can be named in a matchday squad.
1 of those is a keeper with a broken arm.
    1 is our injured captain.
1 is James Chester returning from injury.
Now send 3 players away on international duty, the squad is looking thinner than my hair.
I'm not sure why any Derby fan would want us to play on regardless, especially when one of those players is key in Jason Knight.

If you invited me into your house, and I was being offensive or disrespectful you would have the right to ask me to leave. It’s your house.
Or your wedding, I stand on a table, strip naked and start abusing the guests whilst doing the helicopter, you would have the right to ask me to leave. It’s your event.
Trevor Sinclair, the convicted racist made a tweet last night on a privately owned platform, Twitter. If Twitter decide that has crossed a line in their guidelines, they have the right to remove him.
It’s incredible to see the numbers on there supporting him shouting freedom of speech, like it gives you a free pass to say and do what you like.
Freedom of speech does not give you freedom of consequences.
It’s a privately owned platform, if they insist you start every tweet with the word pink or you will be removed, those are the rules, don’t like it? Don’t use it.
Maybe this should have gone in the what angers me topic, however having seen freedom of speech mentioned on this forum a few times recently, I’m genuinely interested in why some believe they are entitled to freedom without consequences on any privately owned platform?
