Hi folks, just wanted to post today as it’s a very special day for my family. My dad Paul Simpson retires today from teaching after a 43 year career. He taught at Bemrose School, South East Derbyshire college, Alderwasly Hall and then the Roundhouse. I’m unsure but I think being a local teacher I thought some of you might have heard of him or even had relatives taught by him. 
 
He also happens to be a very vocal person in the North Stand having started following the rams since 1980 when he moved from Bradford. 
 
I organised a series of surprises for him including a signed card from the players , a video message from Paul Warne and the article below. 
 
I wouldn’t normally post this but he’s a huge ram and the backlash teachers get for striking he has remained in the profession for 43 years even after suffering a near catastrophic Subarachnoid haemorrhage.

Derbys biggest problem is not selling players at the right time

Goalkeeper sorted maybe loach as a three or new u23 as third 
RWB- Ward maybe another as knights off 
CB - another two maybe three plus Forsyth and cashin

AM- mcgolderick replacement or a striker 
SK - 2-3 needed 
so that’s about 8-10 more please Warne

I’m sorry B4 and other knight lovers I think he’s been average at best and didn’t light up third tier any bid over £1.5m plus sell on id snap it up. He’s never lived up to any potential because if he was a CAM that scored and assisted he would be very close to a 8-10 m + player the fact is once B4 removes his rose tinted glasses he has to accept knighty does not command a fee like the one he posits. If knighty wasn’t a derby player you’d look at his stats and say he’s bang average.
 
as for other players in league 1 to command high fees everyone bar Twine was a striker even Twine was a W/CAM who scored 15+

With knight all loyalty aside you’ll get what people are prepared to pay for him.
he’s versatile, a full Ireland international and still young however , he has an undetermined position , doesn’t assist or score near enough and has hardly set the championship or league 1 alight therefore, I’d guess the following.
 
Bristol opening bid £1.25m rejected
