Ramifications reacted to falconram in New manager, who do you want?
I think LR will have been given the job with him possibly bringing in someone with experience into the club to help him out, giving him the chance to gain managerial experience ,someone all his team can work with, knows the lower leagues ,out of work but won’t cost much and would like the opportunity. Step forward Ian Holloway, not too much abuse please.

Ramifications reacted to Big Bad Bob in How do we get a Manager to stay with the club?
I would also add / suggest that we don't look to managers who deep down loyalties that lie elsewhere. Rooney with Everton and man utd and lampard with Chelsea. I don't think their hearts were really ever in it and dcfc manager spot was a means to an end.
Its heartbreaking as a dcfc fan when you see a modicum of success and you think that the manager can build on it to then leave.

Curtis and Fozzy for sure but maybe not CKR as he can’t run a great deal anymore and play a full game

properly peed off with the timing of this. Basically his agent isn't taking the helm via Kirchner and of those who stuck up their hand saying they wanted to stay - two are trying to weedle their way out of contract extensions, ones heading off to Palace, the goalie who loved playing for Derby in his own words is now at Cardiff, the young international who made a 19 year old captain has basically invited bids by media, his current captain is off playing golf with the bloke who talked a lot of s*** for 3 months and his assistant manager wants out. Even Davies has made it clear he would consider a year in the championship if offered
That combination is probably why he's gone. s*** timing though. Almost ' I wish it was Preston going up today' in it's majesty.

Yeah but I don't fancy a spell in League 2

Might actually get some away points on the board now. Very proud of how Wayne conducted himself off the pitch but felt out overall play was way too cautious especially in must win away games towards the end of the season when we had nothing to lose.

I think they wanted us to be relegated, to make an example of us but to be honest I don't think they wanted us liquidated

Ramifications reacted to DCFC1388 in The whole squad wants to stay.
Well we will know on Mon who truly wants to stay as surely they will return back for preseason whilst waiting for a new deal

I can understand Bielik pushing for a move because of what the Polish Coach said, you can’t pass up the opportunity to play in a World Cup.
If Buchanan and Byrne want to leave, let them go and try to receive some money for them. We need 100% commitment from whoever takes to the pitch next season as it is going to be another struggle.

So much for everyone wanting to stay.
Buchanan is nailed on but my other guess would be either Knight for his International career or Byrne because all his mates are going to Stoke.

Ramifications reacted to PhilGeeWasMyIdol in We will rise again
Don't know what to say. Most of us don't know what is happening. It is a shambles, but we know that.
What I want to say is that, from my heart, we just need someone, be it Appleby, Moxey, Ashley. We are running out of time. What a club to buy though.
I want to be at Pride Park. Soaking up the south stand. I was a young Normanton upper. Then Popside.
The tifo said we will rise again. We will. I saw some glory days of Shilton, Wright, Saunders, Wanchope, Stimac and Sturridge. What a club.
So... now or never. Don't worry lads and lasses, it wont be too long now.
Ps. It is a wide family we have, I live in Yorkshire now, we are all over, UTR.
WE WILL BE BACK

They'll mostly all go. You live to our means abd every footballer at this club will want to secure their future and make sure they can pay their bills and provide for their families. I though alsop was the best keeper we've had for years. Can't believe this misery is continuing

Full version to Hotel California
On a dark Derby motorway
Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of liquidation
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw Pride Park lights
My heart grew heavy and my patience wore thin
I had to stop for the night
There Quantuma stood in the doorway
I heard the missing Mel
And I was thinking to myself
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell
Then they lit up a candle
And Mel showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say
Welcome to the Derby Administration
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a fall from grace
Plenty of room at the Derby administration
Any time of year (any time of year)
All them oh so nears
Mel’s mind is definitely twisted
He’s got the Mercedes Benz
He got a lot of wealthy, wealthy boys
He calls friends
How they dance at the Moor farm
Sweet administrative debt
Some dance to remember
Some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain
Please give me a sign
He said, 'We haven't had that spirit here"
"Since 1969"
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say
Welcome to the Derby administration
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a fall from grace
They livin' it up at the Derby administration
What a bad surprise (what a bad surprise)
Bring their alibis
Kirchner on the dealing
The yank champagne on ice
And he said, 'We are all just swindlers here"
"Of our own device"
And in the Quantumas chambers
They gathered for the cash
They count it with their beady eyes
But they just may have been a tad rash
Last thing they remember, he was
Running for the door
Q had to find the passage back
To the place we were before
"Relax,” said the sly man
"We are programmed to deceive"
"You can buy-out any time you like"
"But we’ll never leave!"

Yes decimate is hardly ever used correctly. Shall we have a Roman pun fest?
Anyway from last night Nixon posted this about the increasing MSD debt, and had previously posted about the debt (to them?) being £30m - is this accounted for in the current bid?
