MrPlinkett got a reaction from desirelines in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
There is certainly plenty of options. A guy i worked with was a die hard forest fan but he moved to Northwich in Cheshire and started going to watch them and really got into it, it didnt stop him being a forest fan, i dont think it means you are being 'unfaithful' if thats the right word lol.
I am actually considering going to watch Cleethorpes Town when they play around here, if i dont get a season ticket again, they will have a few fixtures that would be reasonably local to us round here, for no other reason than i used to work with their current manager so i look out for their results anyway.

I have two reasons for going to watch Derby, firstly im a Derby fan but secondly its the time i get to spend with my Dad, hes been making noises about not renewing anyway, he doesnt like whats involved with getting away as its so busy, so its crossed my mind that ill take him to some non league games just to spend that time and have a beer after like we used to. I guess id do that if the club folded, i cant imagine just switching to another club, i guess that might build up over time
I think you are right there would be a Derby County of some description, no doubt would be a wild ride watching them from non league, i am quite envious of clubs like afc wimbledon, when they got in to the league it must have been such a fantastic moment for their fans.

I am sure they feel very conflicted!
AFC Wimbledon’s rise was fantastic - but are they the same club which won that FA Cup etc? It doesn’t REALLY matter - or does it? Hard to say!

Love this! ?
I recently moved to Abingdon and have considered taking in some of the delights of non-League football round here. I was shocked to discover recently that Abingdon Town FC were established in 1870!

To add to that,
I was going to say .. wasn’t it well documented a few years ago that we were debt free and only owed the mortgage on the stadium

HMRC are responsible for:
Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Insurance Premium Tax, Stamp, Land and Petroleum Revenue Taxes
Environmental taxes
climate change and aggregates levy and landfill tax
Value Added Tax (VAT), including import VAT
Customs duty
Excise duties
National Insurance
Tax Credits
Child Benefit
Please don’t put this on Twitter, but my understanding is that we still owe duty on the importation of Albentosa, Camara and Jozwiak, and are massively in arrears on child benefit payments for Knight, Sibley, Buchanan and Bird. The biggest debt to HMRC though falls under the Climate Change Levy where Mel Morris has incurred the club significant fees for the over production of worthless hot air.

I've never understood why British F1 drivers get shade for living in Monaco?
If my job entailed me living out of a suitcase for 40+ weeks a year, and being paid a fortune for doing so, damn sure I'm going to base myself in a sun drenched enclave a couple of hours from Blighty with a low tax rate.

MrPlinkett got a reaction from i-Ram in El DerbyCo
This is what worries me. We were always told that Derby would be sold 'ONLY' if it was in the best interests of the club, surely that requires a substantial level of due diligence. Or is it now a case of 'anyone will do'.
I just cant see a sale would have fell through 3 times if proper due diligence had been done on the prospective buyers to ensure they were the best fit for us.
It really concerns me who we could end up with, its almost like we have just been put up for sale on eBay.

Yes I do remember when Mel actually used to give interviews, he definitely stated that we were to be sold only if it's to someone who was 'safe hands' and could take the club forwards.
He also mocked some of the many chancers that had shown interest - how ironic !!

At the risk of being controversial, you could argue that organisation of those might be more competant and effective than the EFL - which is not to comment on what the organisations are trying to do.
Can you imagin the EFL waging asymetic war and a terror campaign against the US military for very long?

So my parents left the gate open in case she managed to find her way home, and this morning when they went downstairs she was asleep on the garden. No idea where she was or how she got back, she happy that she did!
