Kathcairns reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby
Indeed. seems to have forgotten about them since this in 2019. One of the primary reasons he got an OBE was for services to sport - pull the other fecker. Can we apply pressure on mass to get him stripped of it, won't be good PR for him either way.
@villareport
Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson is demanding an English Football League investigation into the financial conduct of three Championship teams, including Aston Villa.

Taking his stadium design …. And being able to fill it instead of having rows and rows of empty seats on an empty basis

We need to forget about the insignificant little rick. He was probably bullied at school, hence his bitterness. This very small man means nothing to me or DCFC, so let's let him whinge and moan to his heart's content. All it does is confirm he is a vindictive rick, and the owner of a tinpot club that really no one in the north east (or the rest of England for that matter) gives a crap about. Just by talking about him we give him some form of relevance in the footballing world, so let's forget about him, and his name will fade into the annals of footballing obscurity. Whatever happens DCFC will be back and we will always, no matter what be bigger than Gibson and that horrible club he owns.

Odd that Gibson isn't sueing Villa, who came roaring past both us and Boro from the bottom half of the table after overspending massively in that particular season, and who also sold their stadium to their owners.
Someone might think it's not really justice he's interested in.

Dear Steve Gibson,
It's not Derby's fault you chose to employ Tony Pulis.
We kindly advise you that any legal actions made on the basis that it was not fair that Derby were better than middelsbrough for the season 18/19 are likely to fail on the above piece of information.
Kind regards,
Derby County.

He’s never recovered from us copying his stadium design. Can he really be serious about this ?? The EFL need to apply sanctions to Middlesbrough FC if he doesn’t desist immediately. Perhaps stopping them playing such boring football would be a starting point.
What is to stop us taking identical legal action against Aston Villa for breaching FFP and denying us a place in the Premier League ?

Kathcairns reacted to Carl Sagan in Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby
Here we are, administrators in, massive points deduction, an estimated £50m or whatever in debt, unable to pay wages. And then we read in the Teesside Gazette that Steve Gibson is suing Derby County. https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/middlesbrough-Derby-rooney-mel-morris-21660410
His gripe is that Mel sold the stadium to another of Mel's companies (accepted as OK by the League because not every club owns their stadium and you can't force a club to) and that Derby loaned Matt Clarke when Gibson wanted him to go to Middlesbrough.
Of course claims such as these are manifestly absurd and would normally be laughed out of court. But the problem is it's inconceivable that the Derby Administrators can also afford to pay lawyers to fight the Middlesboro Chairman. Equally, it's inconceivable that Derby could afford any additional fines the courts might impose.
The sole purpose of this can only be to ensure the end of Derby County as a football club. Nothing less. The entire football world including honest Middlesbrough fans should be outraged by this behaviour and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. The club can't afford to fight this, so it's up to us fans to shame Gibson into stopping this despicable course of action.

Why would we sing he's one of our own to Rooney?
Look at Morris and Mason Bennett and ask yourself if you'd like to be tarred with the same brush.

Well I am not and never have been from the area so where does that put me. I consider myself as one of our own after making the journey for 52 years and still will be making it until I can’t

It's utter nonsense the one of our own malarkey imho.
This is professional sport and whereas some players are naturally more loyal because they are local, most move on because they're too good and want more money, or not good enough and the club doesn't need them.
Grealish still left a pretty big club in Villa because he wanted more from his JOB even though he'd been a Villa fan all his life.
Mason Bennett was one of our own until caught on camera saying ducking burn whilst driving past Pride Park.
If a player or member of staff is loyal to the club then he's one of our own.

He’s one of our own;
He’s one of our own;
He maybe a Scouser,
But he’s one of our own!

Was only thinking about this after his interview yesterday afternoon. Has to be ditched. We should now all have far too much respect for him to even think about singing it. He has evolved. So should the fans.

The fact he's willing to stick with us and fight makes him one of our own. Lesser characters would have walked. So far, he hasn't. He's sticking by the fans and his squad when times are tough.
If that doesnt make him one of us I dont know what does.

Its done as a response to the opposition fans giving him abuse but I agree we must t stop it and just sing "he goes by the name of Wayne Rooney"
@ossieramsort it out.

Yes it can’t be good when his family are there . maybe start booing when it starts I don’t no but it’s not nice

Kathcairns reacted to Ruud Aralliss in Ditch the Rooney song
I agree. At Notts County, pre season, I was cringing. The chants were in extremely poor taste and at least 3 different ones took up most of the second half. At one point, I remember thinking that this sort of thing will push him away from the club and I wouldn’t have blamed him.

Time to ditch the horrible song about our leader . I think you all no which one .replace it with he’s one of our own he deserves that the way he is conducting himself in these grim times

I listened to it because i knew the administrators were being interviewed but as usual Jordan decided to do his usual hatchet job on Rooney as soon as he got chance. The guy is a complete and utter ******.

Absolutely.
There will be some folk that will focus on the fact that Wayne’s mum probably won’t have the financial worries that other people face when losing their job (I can’t imagine our Wayne letting him mum get into debt or anything) but for her it may be a pride or self esteem kind of thing (Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and all that).

Kathcairns reacted to RoyMac5 in Wayne Rooney press conference
There's a piece in today's Sun where Rooney says he understands how tough things can be for the staff because his Mum is a dinner lady at the school he went to and she might be about to lose her job. #emotionalintelligence.
"The England legend is determined to treat all his Rams’ staff — from the players to the cleaners — with the respect they deserve.
Rooney, kept in the dark for weeks by outgoing owner Mel Morris over the club’s issues, said: “Communication is key.
“My mum is in exactly the same position. My mum is still working at the same school I went to — as a dinner lady.
There’s discussions over whether that school gets closed down. She doesn’t know whether she’ll have a job or not.
So I know how life works and the struggle many people have with bills or mortgages and putting food on the table.
I’ve gone through that first-hand as a child. I know a lot of people and family who go through it on a daily basis.
The best way to handle it is to be open and honest. If not, people will see through it.
Transparency and honesty means a lot, even if it is a tough decision that gets made and people lose their jobs..."

Can’t believe Rooney hasn’t walked away. The man is a fighter. He doesn’t need the money. He could get a well paid job elsewhere in any case as a coach or manager or in the media. He could also put his boots on and play MLS or somewhere. He’s choosing to fight at Derby. Have to give him respect for that.

You haven't had time to warm to many managers then in recent years.Why don't they stick around long enough you have to wonder.
Do you really believe he only said things to hit the right note with the supporters,you are blaming the wrong man for that. We had an owner who was good at doing that. Some would say Rooneys press conference yesterday was the tonic we needed right now.
He sounded embarrassed at times when he was asked if he had bought things for the club and he replied "well it's what you do isn't it"

Kathcairns reacted to RamInFrance in Wayne Rooney press conference
Really? Bit exaggerated that. I don't think people are silly enough to see Rooney as a legend just because he is staying on despite the mess we are in, as well as helping the club here and there. I think people are just happy to see some honestly and clarity for the first time in a long time, myself included.
