Loved their flag, think we all felt like after the last 4 years since the pandemic.

I maybe old school, but no way would i want a mega rich foreign owner, but im probably in the minority. If that happened to all the so called big clubs in the championship and league 1 what happens to all the small clubs, prob go out of buisness like we nearly did.

A nice look at the highs and lows of the last decade or so, a trip down memory lane to blay off wins over leeds and brighton, that 5-0 win over forest, the resillance in the admin season and finally getting over the line with promotion

I don’t think the “small clubs” would go out of business but they’d probably become totally uncompetitive (unless they had an owner trying to punch above their financial wealth). We’d probably end up with an imitation of the Premier league whereby there would be a group of teams competing at the top pretty much every year, yo yo-ing up to the Premier League and back, and the rest relieved to be lower to mid table in the Championship.

A sensible Trotter @BWFCNick you are. I thought you were unlucky not to have left Pride Park with a point as I'm still convinced the ball and Waggy's arm came into contact. He was the last player to touch the ball so, even if it was accidental, the goal should have been disallowed. Conversely, I think we should have left yours with at least a point. We had a goal disallowed so we could have a penalty (in fairness the ref had blown before the ball went in but he ought to have waited before pointing to the spot and allowed the goal, IMO) two other nailed on penalties refused and our keeper sent off for chesting the ball outside his area. Then you got a penalty for a foul, and a foul it was, outside the area. A win each gave us 3 points apiece. A draw in both and we'd both have had a point less so in the end the mistakes helped us both out.
With regard to the playoffs, I hope you win them. Two clubs put in jeopardy by previous owners have managed to escape L1 through the right door. BWFC is another club almost extinct thanks to an owner. You can complete the hattrick and some sort of poetic justice will have been served.

I must say, that was a most enjoyable weekend.
What I enjoyed seeing was the effect upon the City. Our generally gloomy city streets were buzzing with activity, boozers packed, tills were ringing, and the mood was joyous. 
Let's get the open top bus booked and pack the streets once more.

Remember when there was a clamour for Rooney to be given the Freedom of Derby??  This man really deserves it.  He stepped up when others couldn’t, or wouldn’t.   In doing so, he paid local business more than the minimum amount.  He recognised the importance of DCFC on the fans and the community.  He saved our club 🐏.

The fact that when he brought in Cocu he spoke of reading a study that said he (Cocu) had promoted more youngsters to the first team than any other manager in the top 5 European divisions. The study?  A sidebar on Cocu’s placement in FourFourTwo’s top 50 managers of the year…

Love this.  The guy owns the friggin building, can do whatever takes his fancy, but still shows the humility to think he might be disturbing the work force if he was to pop in…

Just when I thought I’d got past the crying stage.
he’ll always think about his old seat and the people he sat with.
at the risk of sounding like an emotional wreck, Saturday was definitely a time of thinking of those no longer with us. Friends, family, ex players and managers.

We’re very lucky to have him. When Mel talked of investment it made me nervous but with David I have all faith that he’d do his up most to bring in the right people.
