Thought about this quite a bit recently, the father son thing that is often mentioned on here. I did wonder yesterday whether our heroic new and reluctant owner thought to himself at some stage  - what would Dad have done ?
Anyway, the morning after the night before: It’s funny how you only really know how you feel about some things once they have happened. Waking up under DC ownership is like lying in a warm bath - there’s a feeling of security, that you’re in good hands. Do I wish big Mike had stepped in? No thanks. You’d constantly be in that moment immediately before the grumpy old doctor grabs your testicle and asks you to cough, the one with cold hands who squeezes just a bit too hard

An interim appointment is obviously sensible and I don’t think they should be rushing to find a permanent. Rosenoir deserves his chance. He was exemplary when he stepped aside and supported Rooney in his first foray into management. Not a single moment when he didn’t give him his full support it seemed, and many would have harboured resentment. This change in ownership is about a change in culture as much as anything and we could do much worse than have LR at the football helm

I guess it wouldn’t. Couldn’t think of a witty username so decided to abbreviate one of my favourite bits of Graham Richard’s’ commentary.

“Dig That One Out Of The Net Mark Crossley Not A Chance.”
Hopefully it makes more sense now ?

I don’t suspect David clowes is going to be anything like the early days mel Morris in terms of being front and centre. I am going to guess that he will appoint a CEO who will be the face and mouth of this Derby County. As he made a point of in his statement, he would rather be an anonymous fan and he likes to do his business quietly. He will of course communicate as and when but I think in the next week he will make key appointments whom will then drive the operation. I’d be surprised if that’s not the case.

think how surreal it is for us all waking up to dcfc saved, he’s woken up with that feeling and now owning us!

Agree with everything you say. But I think there’s a fair chance he will make money. He deserves to, though it’s sad creditors have lost out

At last. And we’ve had some lucky escapes
We need to be patient and remember what DC has done for us. We’ve lost a lot of talent and rebuilding is never easy. But he will keep us out of trouble. Onwards and upwards

thing u have to question though is how much does he want it.
if he had a burning desire to find a club he would have got himself fit.
he could have trained with numerous clubs im sure in order to do and he decided against it
tbh he was a bit of a boy wander growing through the ranks at liverpool and i wonder if hes mentally got himself enough out of the game and doesnt need it

Massive thank you from me to all of you lot on this forum. This club has impacted my mood, it's given me highs and lows over the last 18 months but you lot have always cheered me up.
I've thought about binning this forum off, I've thought about binning football off entirely.
Two things changed my mind, taking my three year old daughter to a couple of games last season (she loved it and the thought of not being able to do that again was a killer), and this forum.
Perversely, it's all sparked the love of it all in me again and I cant wait to see where we go from here.
Thanks everyone. Me and my little one look forwards to attending games for years to come.

Ok. I dont post much but have spent more time on this thread than is healthy. Morning, noon, night, at work, at airports, in hospital and so on. The news is fantastic and I will be eternally grateful to DC for saving the club and allowing me and my boy to keep avidly following dcfc home and away. Means so much to us all. Just a massive thankyou to everyone who has endeavoured to keep posting every snippet of information, every relevent tweet, every update and making it easy to find everything in one place. In the main you have posted stuff on here way before it was picked up anywhere else and seconds after it was realeased.  I really  appreciate your efforts in keeping us updated and once again for playing ahuge part in supporting us all with witty comments, beer talk, absolute rubbish at times but I have felt amongst true fans on this forum and am so pleased we can look forward again. There will be better days ahead for us all.
