50 days since the season kicked off. How has it been for you? Better than expected? Worse than expected? Has LR found his best XI yet? What if any changes would you like to see? At what point will we score our first away goal?
From this point where do you see us finish? Top 2? Play-off spot? Top 10? Lower?

The chances of us catching Portsmouth and Ipswich are not great. Already. But hope we’ll make the play offs. Two seasons in this div may not be a bad thing in terms of transition. Depends on the deal with the EFL Dont want to go back up and struggle.

But getting back up in 2 seasons is not guaranteed

He didn’t really switch to it until he brought NML

it’s a great ruse to bring on a player whose initials are in reverse alphabetical order. Imagine trying to mark him with that in the back of your mind.

Who is he arguing it to? Who might be expected to pay the scumbag?

Good question. The terms of the sale agreement between DC and Q will dictate whether his poxy claim is against old club or new club   We don’t know what it says, so far as I know ...

Are you referring to this little piece in the article

"It has been suggested a total payment of about £7m would settle the issues involving Middlesbrough and Wycombe which are partly holding up the sale of the club"

A piece from February the 4th that made up the story

Then this this piece from 9th March

    https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/derby-county-wycombe-compensation-administration-6779660

Boro was the block to the sale. W was not by the time Boro was settled.  And MM distinguished between the two in his ‘offer’

That’s all I was saying. But so what ?

Your position seems to be that Couhig hasn’t had a penny from us/q.  So you’re saying he’s a liar.  Fine if that’s your view but it just seems very unlikely, that’s all,  given what he has said.

But it’s a bit hard to tell what you actually think

My understanding was Coupig getting a percentage of the excess.

The sale of the club itself resulting in him getting some cash, but with the stadium included he gets nothing.

Hmmm that seems odd. I’d have thought it was:

the sale of the club to DC gets Couhig nothing, because there was no ‘excess’. But if you include the stadium proceeds in the receipts then he would get something. So he’s arguing the stadium receipts should be included.

and maybe he’ll also argue that it’s the FMV of the stadium that needs to be used, not 23m

Also,  I’d think his ‘claim’ is against q/old club   But I guess that depends on DC’s deal with Q

Interesting in the link I posted he didn't want to say how much as he believes there's more to come, One way to pacify your followers.

Couhig is slimy as a toad and a master of equivocation. But if he says he was paid something, you’re a brave man to say he wasn’t. He’s smart enough not to tell an outright lie

Hadn’t seen it before. But having read the DT article you sent round, I think q might have said to him: “yes we’ll pay the legal invoices. We can’t pay you more because we need to pay MSD, football creditors, and we need to pay 25% to unsecureds etc. But if we sell the club and there’s an excess over what we need to avoid a points deduction, we’ll give you some of the bunce

(I assume DC paid exactly what was needed to avoid a further points deduction.)

If all this is right and if your DT article is to be believed, it looks like this: Couhig is shouting from the sewer that the price of the stadium needs to be taken into account in working out whether there is any bunce. He’s awful

didn’t Morris offer for Couhig to sue him instead .. even Pubehead took him up on that so why didn’t Couhig?

    Don’t think so

Morris asked pubehead to sue him not the club - pubehead did not take up the offer but agreed to a settlement with MM two days before we visited Riverside (no coincidence)

don’t think that offer was made to Couhig - presumably because q had a solution to the Couhig pestilence.

What fuss? squeeling to the press and Sitting down in front of a few lap dogs eating up his every word and accepting it ?

MM settled with the curley one for compensation so to move the obstacle of a sale way before DC bought DCFC.

The $hitbag metions we not I (legal fees) and he believes he's getting more when someone tells him how much DC bought the stadium for.

    You keep thinking Kevin.

    https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/derby-county-wycombe-rob-couhig-7512397

Good idea, thanks, I’ll keep thinking

So just to be clear, what do you think has happened ?

  10. 3 hours ago, Unlucky Alf said:

Yes the $hitbag is a lawyer, Yes every letter, email, Phone call and any other sundries that these vermin charge they expect to be paid, But on what legal basis did he have, Why would Q pay him off, He heard nowt by his words 2 days at the earliest before DC bought DCFC, Then there was the change of name from one business entity to another.

The $hitbag was playing to his audience at a forum, He openly said DCFC paid him monies, He also said he's waiting for a valuation of PP so he can expect more monies, This $hitbag is either living in a cloud full of cuckoos or trying to look good in the eyes of the deluded.

Until an official of DCFC openly admits the $hitbag was paid monies or Q say they paid the said monies and it was billed to DCFCs new company then I'll believe NOWT WAS PAID.

You think he made all that fuss, then settled for nothing?

    Unlikely.

Remember what happened? Q told us their own lawyers said that they could pay Couhig and Gibbo nothing by way of settlement, because there was nothing in the claims. But they were told they could agree to pay their legal fees to make them go away. That’s why MM not Q settled the Gibbo claim. When MM did that, Q told us mysteriously that Couhig would not be a further roadblock to exiting administration. I don’t think a Couhig got anything from MM, I think we’d have heard about that. So most likely scenario was that Q paid him legal fees to go away.

it is a sad reflection on humanity that there are Wycombe fans who think Couhig’s claim had merit

Re Time wasting. Yes there’s the times when they all forget who is supposed to take a throw in, times where a foul is committed and they kick the ball away etc. but one of the worst occasions yesterday was their keeper feigning some sort of injury to his foot and getting their physio on when the pressure was properly building. He then proceed to clear from a goal kick by belting the ball with the same foot that needed physio moments earlier.

    That is just plain cheating.

We do it when it suits us. Would be easy for rule changes to nullify it or cut it out

Will the same system work away from home, or do we need another plan still?

If it’s not a stupid question, can someone explain why we might need a different set up for home and away ?

Not sure why you assumed it was as I like Max a lot. It was Joe Wildsmith I was curious about. For me he was MVP but I'm guessing Conor filled that slot but I'm curious as to how the statistical approach reflected Joe's second half performance, which was the best I've seen from a Derby stopper in a while

Crazy for CH not Wildsmith to be motm. Just hope Wildsmith doesn’t get injured

To get out of administration most of that needed to be paid apart  from any to his shitbag chairman and pitiful club as they were never creditors. In fact they probably diluted any payment to the exchequer and actual creditors. Should someone let him know and also pass him some tissues.

I think his $hitbag chairman probably was paid. Seems likely Q agreed to pay WW’s legal bills and that’s why their claim mysteriously went away. Legal bills owed to a certain ambulance chaser ...

Its sad but with Bielik its always " hope he does well in the  future when fit and has a run of games " and is then  repeated time and time again when he gets injured

Beats me how a player like Lampard can play a decade and a half of intense football with just 3 major breaks  for injury. Yet Bielik who looks fit as a butcher’s dog can’t get up to celebrate a goal without knackering his shoulder

wonder if the Lampards of this world somehow manage to give 100% but not do that foolish thing that gets them crocked

Has to start to realise that this passing around the back isn’t working, we just look scared to do it,

I certainly think it scared Tommo. He likes to be racing around and facing forwards. Retreating for all this tippy tapping on the edge of his own box doesn’t suit him at all and has undermined his confidence.

I think the decision to offer the role to Rosenoir was based on need at the time.

A club needed to be rebuilt fast from a very difficult place.

Multiple recruitment decisions had to be taken.

The recruitment decisions weren't made on the basis of if we had a transfer budget, but on who we could bring in as a free agent.

In my opinion the correct decision was taken to recruit experienced players who had previous championship or promotion from League one experience.

I'm not saying that some of those older players have resale value if we don't get promoted this season.

That built up a team, a huge amount of players brought in.

Most teams in League one brought in a couple of players, we brought in a team. That takes time to gel.

Rosenior was a gamble, but who could you get to come in at short notice that was experienced with the club.

Would I have preferred a different manager, maybe John Terry or Judy marsh if they had accepted the offer to manage the club.

The question isn't easy to answer, that's because if your a decent manager and your offered a job in League one, with a team that requires a complete rebuild and doesn't come with a transfer budget for two year, that might not interest the people you want to hire as manager.

Sure, the interim appointment was fine. And he may still make good. But there’ll need to be a big change before he’s made permanent
