Would assume Block GU2 will open when these are gone.  To make it fit with the 5150 total  allocation, it must be quite a small block of about 300 seats? We must have sold about 4.5k by now.

Well, I made it! Thought it was an ok game with odd bits of decent football. As has been said many times the officials were dire. I usually give them a bit of slack as I used to watch my dad reffing local games but this lot were beyond the pale. I thought we just shaded it but we don’t seem to get out of the habit of taking one touch or one pass too many.
I did look for @Anag Ram on the station platform but there were rather a lot of men in Derby scarves and I really didn’t fancy getting a reputation for accosting ‘strange’ men! I thought I’d recognise his nanny but I didn’t see her either!
I’m so pleased to know I can manage a whole day including travel on my own. A bit tiring though as I slept nearly 12 hours last night! But well worth it to know I can do it.

I agree but once the medical team were treating Smith the game should have resumed. Not the best ref I’ve seen but probably not the worst.

Agreed but I thought at first it was something serious like a leg break and he needed treatment quickly i.e. stop the game to allow the medical team access across the pitch.
It was also strange when the ref did not stop the game when Bird was crocked and the ball ended up back with Wildsmith. The ref then restarted the game with a drop ball, giving the ball to Wildsmith. What was that all about?

The whole incident was bizarre. I know it might seem harsh but as Smith was off the pitch, the ref should really have resumed play immediately. He was able to receive all the treatment he needed without the need for the game to be stopped. Then Smith is rolling around as if he’s dislocated his knee only to get up and continue playing after a few minutes. The generous side of me assumes he was indeed caught awkwardly and in pain but it wore off after a little treatment.

I was so upbeat driving to Derby, first home game for ages and looking forward to a great atmosphere. Got into a virtually empty ground (everyone seemed to arrive 10 mins before kick off) and it felt like a wake. Hopefully better v FGR.

Today was a bit scrappy and the sides cancelled each other out , thought the atmosphere was a bit flat which was probably a mix of the cold and the game not being the most exciting, the best attempt at raising the atmosphere was by the ref with his terrible display, no derby attacker could poss hold the ball up with constant shirt pulling from behind or pushing into their back which the ref just ignored ??‍♂️,
that said , much as I desperately wanted a win the draw is not the worst result , we are hard to beat these days , the soft centre has gone, and if we are in a position to get a few in in January I reckon we could have a good run at play offs

Surprised they managed to summon up the energy, both sets of fans seemed so listless inside the ground.  Oh well one way to warm up I suppose.

I assume Dobbin was booked for kicking the ball at he advertising boards but when the ball went out later in the game and the Wednesday player kicked the ball away nothing was said. I don’t think either should really be a booking but if he books one surely he books the other.

I was also a little disappointed, apart from a few isolated moments, with the Sheffield Wednesday fans. I know there wasn't a lot to shout about but Wednesday are normally better value than that. 

Must have been about 2k of season ticket holders that did not show up today. Agreed atmosphere was very flat from both sets of fans. Not sure why, maybe the cold weather, early kick off and less drinking time?

About 4000 tickets left, so probably nearly 27,000 sold so far. Be good if we could get close to 30k.

If you've got to pick and choose the games you go to, people are obviously going to pick the big ones though.
I have to ration the games I go to this season due to work and finances. The way I'm doing that is by saying I'll go to every weekend game home and away, but will skip midweek games. That's my way of rationing, but others will choose to go to the big occasions and give the smaller ones a miss. That couldn't be me, as I'd genuinely rather a trip to Accrington away than Man United, but I'm a weirdo.
I know there's always a mad rush to get Wembley tickets, but I don't think I've ever seen a "half-fan" demanding priority over those that go every week. The regular home and away matchgoers absolutely deserve priority, and as long as that's respected then I don't see the issue.
It bugs me a little bit when I see people who pay no attention to the club all of a sudden becoming a huge fan when we get to the big games, but I think those are few and far between. Most simply can't afford to travel across the country, or they prioritise family/other time every other weekend. And that's fine.

This is to be my next big adventure- going to a match on my own. I used to regularly but 3 years ago today I was undergoing surgery to find my brain and then to repair the haemorrhage in it! As well as suffering small physical and mental losses, I also lost a lot of confidence. I’ve been setting myself challenges although my partner and family are not very enthusiastic! With this game being so early it means I can be back in Bristol for 5.30 so it’s not too long a day.
I may spend the following couple of days in a darkened room! COYR
