I just don’t see the Kirchner fit. It makes no sense at all.
His openness shows his naivety. Fans are fickle and who do you think they’ll be tweeting every time we loses a game. It won’t be Rooney? or Cook?they’ll go straight to the top and before long CK will get fed up trying to  respond to gobby Rams or Red Dog micky takers.
This twitter lark is a pretty stupid thing to be doing in my opinion.

Another day without Kirchner is a day closer to Ashley.
I do have issues with Kirchner. I honestly think he has good intentions but he has no clue what he is getting into. He’s already getting abuse from some fans and he’s not even the owner. I also don’t understand the motivation of owning a football club in our position. There is no money in it. In fact it’s a money pit and he seems prepared to chick money away on some kind of dream. He’s adored by many rams on twitter and I’m sure that massages his ego but DCFC is no vanity project and just watch those same fans turning to abusing him if things to pear shaped.
Ashley has been there done it and understands it. I think we need him now. Kirchner is not thick skinned enough.
He’s a nice guy but the wrong guy. Being to open and accessible if a bad thing.

Also I think he’ll bail so we will never know if he could of been any good.

    Telecon Q-CK.
Q “Chris, we haven’t received the funds yet”
CK “I’ve definitely sent them. Can you check again”
    Q No, definitely not here.
CK “Let me check my end. I’ll put you on hold”
    7 minutes later
CK. “A bit embarrassing really. The bank require a security deposit when sending money overseas. It’s $2m US. Again slightly embarrassing. All my funds are being used up to buy the club and I don’t have the $2m. Could you ask Mel if he’ll sub me it and I’ve give him back as soon and the transfer has taken place and the deposit returned?
Q “Seems highly irregular but I’ll ask.
CK “Er this may also seem a little strange but due to various bank holidays playing havoc with this deal can you ask him to send the funds to my account at the Bank of Nigeria because they are open all week.
    Q “Hmm”

Oh gawd, it's starting, isn't it. We're in L1 but the all-knowing naysayers are already gathering to tell us all we should be doubting the quality of any intended targets based on spurious, notional and anecdotal evidence and nothing more.
How about we break the mould this season and actually give players a chance to show us what they've got before starting to chuck shade in their direction. You know, actually 'support' the team in the same we we have done under embargo.

Fair comments. Forum’s allow people to vent. He’s gone from Uncle Mel to bad smell but the reality is he was probably telling the truth when he said he couldn’t afford to subsidise the club anymore. After losing the play off final and the cupboard being bare the only option was to sell but Gibson, with the help of Maguire saying “looking here”, insisting the EFL re visit the amortisation policy scared off the Saudi’s
It dragged on so long and Mel was losing so much, especially with no income and no loan, that he was left with no option but to act in his own interests at that point and put us into admin.
In his position many of us would have done the same thing and many of us would have even done it sooner.
How long would any of us go on chucking good money after bad. Would we be expected to do it indefinitely?
Any who says he shouldn’t have chased the dream and then was bouncing all the way to Wembley with Frank is a hypocrite.
Who’d be a football club owner.

I think there is a need for some balance here. I do agree that Mel is the villain - he  put us into administration when he had previously vowed to continue financing us until he could sell the club, and he left us with a lot of debt. If the information we are given is correct, he is also not asking for repayment of £135,000,000 of loans to the club and he has sold the ground for £23,000,000 ,although it was valued at £81,000,000, which will be used to pay off his debt to MSD. He was naive and got out of his depth in trying to get us to the promised land but for you to say that he is “Truly one of the most repugnant human beings to ever walk this planet” is ridiculously over the top. I hope I never come before you in a court of law.

I think the council have shot their bolt too early on the Freedom thing.
Rooney, I expect will grin and bear it as he wouldn’t be rude enough to refuse. But I’m quite sure he’ll be thinking what he’s done to deserve it over other upstanding and selfless citizens of this city.
One could to point to the all time record of consecutive away defeats he presided over this season if anyone thought he was a great manager.
He’s not a great manager yet but he could be. He’s shown he’s a people person possessing great empathy both essential in a leader.

Rooney would be first to admit he’s a work in progress and he just wants to go about his business so I don’t think he’ll appreciate or think he deserves to be lorded like this just yet.
I think we have a gem in Rooney but this freedom thing is bonkers.

The council have voted to bestow him the honour. They would look a right bunch of muppets if he left now.
Does this mean the council as one of the team Derby stateholders know that the stadium deal is done and CK is definitely the man?
