Hope we get the time added on that should be given... should be at least 9mins after the amount of timewasting we've seen this half!
-
Adams off and not Hourihane? Questionable choice!
-
Hourihane off for Smith and (harsh on him as he's done alright, but someone would have to be sacrificed to change system) Thompson off for CBT at half time. Think someone (CBT) a bit wider on the left would give Sibley a bit more freedom to get forward too... everything seems to be coming down the right and that's because NML and/or Waggy naturally drift towards that side leaving the left a bit open.

What was the point in buying CBT if he can’t get in when we only have two other attacking options?
I just can’t get my head around it.
My thoughts exactly... even more confusing as we seem to have shifted from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2 instead of just slotting him in instead of Barkhuizen.
Oh well... still a strong line up and fully behind the lads to do a job. Plenty of energy in the middle with Adams and Thompson in there alongside Hourihane.

Outside of our own players, Mason Melia looks to be one hell of a prospect!
-
I don't think we necessarily need as many signings as some are suggesting... 3-4 quality first team additions then some U21 additions. Areas I'd be looking to strengthen (obviously some are promotion dependent):
Midfield
Needs some work as we're losing Bird and Hourihane will potentially go into coaching. Ebou Adams on a permanent is an obvious one to make happen! Maybe need one or two more... Idris El Mizouni is coming to the end of his contract at Ipswich in June (not sure if Orient have an option to buy though); Lewis Travis has been on loan at Ipswich since January and only played the full 90 once (Blackburn might want to keep him though and even if he would be available he'd cost a fee) or, a younger option, Tim Iroegbunam on loan from Villa. All tough tackling midfielders that put a shift in.
Out wide
We have decent options in NML, CBT and Barkhuizen already. A left-footed option would give us something different though. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi hasn't played much for Palace this season (although he has been injured for a couple of months) and was great for Charlton last season; he might be available for loan. Karamoko Dembele has been on loan at Blackpool this season from Brest and has been impressive; another loan spell in England with us might be tempting. Permanent-wise, Femi Azeez from Reading.
Up front
We've needed a younger option for a few years now... and, if we do have funds, this has to be an area to prioritise. Sinclair Armstrong from QPR... not a prolific goalscorer (yet) but has all the attributes to be one with the right service (strong, tall, quick, good in the air); I fully expect QPR to take up the option on his contract though so would only really have a chance there if they went down. Will Lankshear on loan from Spurs... been on fire for their U21s and they might want to get him a loan for some senior experience. Lastly, a bit of a 'left-field' one, but Macauley Langstaff is a natural goal scorer... Notts (the black and white ones 😉) have no chance of getting promoted now and I'd be interested to see if he could make the step up. We've also got Dajaune Brown coming back after his loan spell too.

Ducks sake... ever get the feeling it's just one of those days! Hit the post, hit the bar, deflections galore, goalkeeper making class saves... so frustrating!

It’s not random, we have a Muslim player who will have been fasting since daybreak this morning and is now able to break his fast.
Would have been helpful if there was some sort of announcement, not everyone in the crowd (me included if I'm honest) would have been aware.

My proven (unreliable 😀) predictor has changed after Barnsley collapsed yesterday (and dropped point last Tuesday) and we won when I was only expecting a draw. It’s gone from 1) Barnsley, 2) Portsmouth, 3) Derby to 1)Derby, 2)Portsmouth and 3) Barnsley.
This tells me three things.
We can catch Pompey.
It’s probably going to be very tight.
I know nothing.
In a similar sort of fashion, my top 6 is now 1. Portsmouth (98pts), 2. Derby (94pts), 3. Barnsley (87pts), 4. Peterborough (87pts), 5. Bolton (85pts), 6. Blackpool (74pts)
Another 2 results on and it could all change again! Haha

Barnsley to end up 9 points clear of us?!?! Blimey. Do we not win any more games this season?
More to do with Barnsley having a great last 10 games than anything else (I take an average form between the last 5 overall and last 10 overall)

(Fitness dependent) I'd start with:
Wildsmith
Wilson Nelson Cashin Elder
Bird Adams Sibley
NML Barkhuizen

I wasn't happy with Wildsmith either the other night, but I don't think Thompson is the solution in goal.😂

Assume he means Jack Thompson from the youth team? Extremely talented young 'keeper and will hopefully become a first team regular at some point... not sure this is the right kind of pressure to throw him into straight away though!

This needs regulating now. If the away supporters are unable to get home via train it shouldn't be allowed, simple as.
The only train back to derby after the match takes 8hrs 40min
There's bound to be someone on here with contacts... wonder if EMR fancy running a special St Pancras to Derby service at around 02:05 departure from London? Or CrossCountry a 23:50ish from Southampton? Either would be preferable to a night in Pompey!
Not that it should even be an issue if fans were even considered ahead of money!

And how are any Rams fans meant to get home after that?!

The strange thing is... I've not got much of an issue with his recruitment! I used to do a bit of scouting and Wilson, Nelson, Bradley, Elder, Fornah, Nyambe... these are all players that would have been on my list for L1 (okay... less said about the forward signings, the better!). It's just the way Warne sets us up that annoys me... we're second in the league, but we should be playing a lot, lot better. When was the last time we actually dominated a team and why aren't we doing it more often?

I've got an idea for him... He can f*** off back to Rotherham and take his sh**e brand of football with him.
